the night was cold, olivia knocked on the door and the girl on the other side was surprised to see her. "olivia fitz." she opened the door and let the redhead in.

"spencer hastings." olivia smiled as she walked through the door. "what are you doing here?" spencer led the girl into the kitchen.

"i wanted pie and i figured you would have some." olivia's smile grew slightly as the girl rolled her eyes. "you came over for pie?" spencer headed for the fridge and olivia sat down.

"i wanted to talk to you about something and i have a feeling you're really good at advice." olivia rested her arms on the table as the girl cut her a piece of pie before putting it on a plate and passing it over to her.

spencer was surprised that olivia would come to her of all people for advice. "we're not even friends." spencer passed her a fork.

olivia let out a gasp, "and here i thought we were best friends." she rested her hand over her chest.

"you're so dramatic, you really belong in the drama department." spencer sat down across from her, "now what did you wanna talk about?"

olivia took out her wallet, taking out the picture of james as she slid it across the table. spencer picked it up, looking at it. "he's cute." she smiled looking at the little baby.

olivia smiled as she took the picture back. "he's my son." olivia said calmly.

spencer's eyebrows furrowed, "what?" it was very clear to see this was shocking news to her.

olivia nodded, "he's in pittsburgh and im here."

"what are you gonna do about it?" spencer crossed her arms over her chest. olivia let out a soft sigh, "im thinking of moving back but." olivia paused, breaking off a piece of the pie.

"but you don't wanna leave aria." it was very clear to spencer, olivia didn't want to be away from her. "i love her." olivia looked down at the pie, biting softly into her bottom lip.

"i think." spencer paused for a moment, "you should go." the two hadn't been awfully close but she knew olivia had to go. "he looks like he needs you."

olivia knew that was the right thing to do but thinking about not seeing aria, it broke her heart. "when i go, i need you to take care of her."

spencer smiled, "i always do."

olivia knew that very well. "she's gonna need you guys more than ever." and olivia was going to need aria but she couldn't be there.

"give her a period of grace after i leave but don't let her fall behind." olivia hated what she was about to say but she had to say it. "encourage her to date again, i don't want her to be alone."

spencer could tell how hard this was for the girl. "ill try my best." the girl gave her a soft smile.

olivia could feel something on her cheek and as she raised her hand, she felt a teardrop. "i don't wanna leave her." she spoke softly as spencer walked around the table.

"you have to think about what's best for your son right now. maybe one day you can come back." she wrapped an arm around olivia who let out a soft sob, trying to catch her breath.

olivia nodded, resting her head on the girl's shoulder. "i know you love her so much." spencer held the girl closer, "and she loves you."

"i don't wanna go." olivia wrapped her arms around the girl. spencer knew how hard it was to love someone and know that you had to let go, she hated that olivia and aria would both be heartbroken but olivia couldn't miss out on her son's life.

"you'll be okay, you just have to be brave."

"what if i can't?" olivia asked softly.

"then lean on aria, and she'll lean on you." spencer
