Mr. Raymond walked into his mansion, greeted by the warm smile of his mother, who had dismissed the maids for the evening.

"Son, it's so good to see you!"

She enveloped him in a tight hug.

Mr. Raymond dropped his bag and settled beside her on the plush sofa.

"Mum, what brings you here? You never visit unannounced."

His mother's expression turned serious.

"I spoke with Rachel today. She'll be joining you in Nigeria soon to finalize the wedding preparations."

Mr. Raymond nodded, though a hint of unease crept up his spine.

His mother continued,

"Your father wants you to produce an heir as soon as possible. The company needs a successor, and he can't wait forever."

Mr. Raymond sighed, frustration evident.

"Mum, I've tried. But no girl is willing to...you know. I'm tied down, and Rachel's the only one who understands."

His mother's eyes sparkled with determination.

"Look, son, there's a way. I heard about this young girl, Elizabeth."

Mr. Raymond's eyes widened in shock.

"Elizabeth? How do you know her?"

His mother smiled slyly.

"I have my ways. She's beautiful, intelligent, and from a good family. I think she'd make an excellent addition to our family."

Mr. Raymond's mind reeled.

"Mum, I don't know what to say. Elizabeth is...complicated."

His mother's gaze pierced through him.

"Complicated? What do you mean?"

Mr. Raymond hesitated, unsure how much to reveal.

"We've...crossed paths. But I never thought you'd know about her."

His mother leaned in, her voice low.

"I know more than you think, son. Now, listen. Elizabeth might be the key to securing your future. Rachel's coming soon, and we need to move quickly."

Mr. Raymond's thoughts swirled, torn between loyalty to Rachel and curiosity about Elizabeth.

"Mum, I don't know..."

He trailed off.

His mother's firm tone left no room for argument.

"Trust me, son. This is for the best."

"But, Mum, do you even know the Elizabeth you're talking about? Miss Faith's cousin..."

Mr. Raymond trailed off, incredulous.

His mother's expression remained resolute.

"Yes, I do. What's wrong with her? Just...influence her, and she'll produce a healthy heir. That's all."

Mr. Raymond's eyes widened in dismay.

"Mum, you can't be serious. Elizabeth's a student, barely 18 years old."
