Unbeknownst to Mrs. Smith and the chairman, their son Raymond stood frozen outside the office door, his ears burning with the shocking revelation. He had intentionally lingered, sensing something was amiss.

As his mother stormed out, Raymond's eyes widened in horror:

"No...it can't be,"

He whispered, reeling from the truth.

His family, implicated in Elizabeth's father's murder? The thought nauseated him.

Raymond's mind raced:

All those years, his father's success, their luxurious life...built on lies and blood?

He felt tainted, complicit by association.

Raymond's gaze fell on his mother, her determined stride fading down the hallway. He wanted to call out, to confront her, but words failed him.

Instead, he slipped away, unnoticed, his heart heavy with the weight of secrets.

In his room, Raymond's thoughts swirled:

What else had his family hidden?

Torn between loyalty to his family and justice for Elizabeth, Raymond paced his room.

"If I tell her, she'll want revenge. But if I don't, she'll never know the truth."

He envisioned Elizabeth's determination, her drive for justice.

"She's already investigating her father's death. Telling her would only put her and the baby in greater danger."

Raymond's thoughts swirled:

Was his family's secret worth protecting?

Or should he risk everything for the truth?

As the night wore on, Raymond's resolve shifted:

He would find a way to help Elizabeth, discreetly.

No more silence.

No more secrets.

But how?

Raymond paced his room, his mind racing with the secrets he'd uncovered. The door swung open, and the chairman entered, his expression unreadable.

"Raymond, we need to talk,"

The chairman said, his voice low.

Raymond's anger boiled over:
