I decided I was gonna change my last name but keep my maiden name for my artist name. Mikey respected that but was happy I wanted to change my name.
"Congratulations mi amour!" My dad came up to me and started to cry yet again, "I can't believe you are married."
"Dad....." I said sobbing back into his arms. This is the third time today we've cried into each other arms.
"Vincent." My mom grabbed him off me and pulled me into a hug, "Stop making my baby cry."
I laughed and hugged her hard, "He can't help it, I can't help it."
"You have made me so proud. I'm so happy you got your happy ending." She whispered before kissing my head and walking away.
"Let's make some toast!" Leah said grabbing me and pulling me towards my chair next to Mikey.
"Oh gosh, I just know im gonna cry." I whispered to Mikey, he turned towards me and grabbed my hand.
"So, first off..." Trey started and immediately laughs went around the whole venue.
*SKIPPING A FEW PEOPLE*
"Finally, a word from Carter." Leah smiled and handed him the microphone.
My eyes widen and I looked around back to her and she smiled. I was not expecting him to say anything but how cute!
"Hi mom." He said into the microphone.
"Hey BABY!!" I shouted from where I was and smiled so hard.
"I just wanted to say Mikey. Thank you for caring about not just my mom but me. Thank you for teaching me how to ride a skateboard even though mom was not happy." He said and Mikey grabbed my hand tight and smiled towards me.
"Thank you mom, for always being there and being the best mommy ever. I hope you are my mom in every life time. I'm so happy for you guys. I'm happy to have a stepdad as great as you Mikey. I wish you guys forever." He smiled and ran towards me.
Mikey was a mess and so was I. Tears were everywhere and we hugged him both so tight.
"I love you buddy. Thank you." Mikey said to him as they hugged longer.
I couldn't have asked for a better life. I now have a perfect son, perfect daughter and perfect husband! Life truly is amazing.
Never in my dreams have I ever thought this would be my life, I would be married. I would be so happy and find love in so many unexpected ways. Between my career and family. Growing up I would have never pictured my life this way. But I'm so glad it's the way it is. I don't think I would change anything.
