The drive with my brother definitely helped to calm me down. It always did, reminded me of the good old days.

We both liked driving together, even though I wasn't sure if Red Bull was gonna like it all that much.

So the next day, I was definitely ready for the qualifying, my first qualifying.

I went over the statistics with Kai, he helped me get to know the track. Helped me understand where I had to brake and where I can go full pace.

"What do you think about Ava and Ryle?" He asked after we were finished. I knew it was bothering him and I could totally understand.

I sighed a little. "I don't think Ryle is very interested in her"

"Okay, but she is definitely interested in him, right?"

I shrugged. "Or maybe she just wants to be nice?"

He snorted. "Yeah sure"

Poor Kai. He definitely deserved someone who loves him, only him. But unfortunately I wasn't sure if that was Ava.

I walked to the garage after that. I wanted to be a little early. I was standing next to my performance coach and trainer Jay.

He always trained me, since I was little, so he knew me pretty well. He knew that I was nervous.

"Don't be too nervous, no one expects you to do perfect during your first qualifying" he said as we were standing next to each other.

"Except for me" I muttered.

"Just make sure we don't have to visit your dad" he laughed, handing me my helmet.

"Oh I certainly don't want to do that" I chuckled, but before I could put on my helmet, Christian and Helmut walked up to me.

Wished me good luck and some other things, I wasn't really paying too much attention.

I didn't care about their motivational speech.

"Thanks" I said before putting my helmet on and walking to the car.

And the qualifying went surprisingly well, I qualified P5, maybe because I knew exactly where to hit the apex and where to go fast.

All thanks to Lando.

And I didn't even thank him for that. I totally forgot after our late night drive.

So the first thing I did was find Lando. He also had a pretty decent qualifying, so he walked out of his garage with a smile on his face.

"Lando!" I said a bit louder. He turned his head to me, dismissed his trainer and walked up to me. "Alix, you did great"

"Thanks, so did you though" I smiled. "I also want to thank you for yesterday"

"What did I do then?" Lando tilted his head. "You showed me the track, showed me where to brake and stuff"

He shook his head. "Nah, I can't remember that"

I frowned. He was fucking with me, right?

He walked away, winked before walking in his hospitality.

Yes he was definitely fucking with me, but I was so grateful for him.

I was definitely gonna sneak in his room later.

"Alix! You did such a great job" Ava immediately pulled me in a hug as soon as I walked in the hospitality. "Ryle and I watched it together in the garage"

"Oh that's great" I smiled.

"Yeah, we were so proud" she smiled. "Do you think that Ryle is dating someone?"

"I don't know Ava, but do I need to remind you that you are dating someone?"

She snorted. "I was just interested, I love Kai, I don't want to date Ryle or anything"

"Okay great" I said before going to my driver's room.

I had a bad feeling about this. I had a feeling I soon had to choose between Kai and Ava.
