Lando didn't wait on me, he already went to his hotel room. Which was weird, because he would normally wait on me.

I stopped in the middle of the paddock, just looking around. I looked at the Mclaren hospitality, where a smiling Zak was exiting.

Would he really ask Lando to get in my bed just so I would help him?

I doubted that. He wasn't as vile as Christian, right?

"Oh you're still here?" Kai shook me out of my thoughts. "Um, yeah my dad wanted to talk to me"

"Oh? Why?" He tilted his head with a frown. "Just a father-daughter talk"

"Right" he mumbled and I was sure he was about to tell me how wrong I was for giving up my position, but I heard that one too many times already today. "Where's Lando?"

He shrugged. "I think I saw him leave"

"Thanks" I nodded, walked away before he could ask me anything else.

Instead of going to my room, I went to Lando's. Didn't care if anyone saw me entering his hotel, nor did I care it someone saw me knocking on his door.

He opened the door, looked at me, but he didn't smile, nor did he look happy to see me.

"So Kai told me you already left the paddock, guess you didn't want to wait for me?" I smiled, tried to make a little joke because it felt as if I needed to break the tension between us.

He just shrugged, walked back in the room, but left the door open for me.

I walked in after him and he just leaned against a wall, his arms crossed in front of his chest.

Gotta admit that he looked pretty handsome but this wasn't the time.

He looked at me, a little smirk on his face. "Did Christian ask you to come to my room as well?"

"Wait, wha-" I stuttered. "You knew?"

"Of course I did, but I admit that you had me fooled for a pretty long time." He said. "At first, I actually thought you were genuine and that you liked me, for real"

"I do li-" I started but got cut off by him raising his hand. "Don't start"

"But you got me twisted right now, why did you help me if you're just trying to get information out of me?"

"Because I'm not" I said as I walked closer to him, but he immediately took a step back. "I am not trying to get information out of you, not anymore"

"Not anymore" he mimicked me with a chuckle.

"I never told Christian anything you told me, you have to believe me"

Another step to him, and he took another step back.

"Go away Alix" he mumbled, as if he had to force the words out of his mouth.

"You have to believe me Lando, I never told Christian, I never used you"

He sighed, biting down his lower lip. "But I used you"
