Breakfast was filled with laughter and light banter, the air between Taehyung and Jungkook brimming with a sense of ease and companionship. As they sat at the dining table, plates of scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and toast in front of them, the earlier tension of the night before felt like a distant memory.“You make the best scrambled eggs,” Jungkook said, a grin plastered across his face as he took another bite. “How do you do it?”
“It’s a secret recipe,” Taehyung teased, playfully winking. “But I might let you in on it if you keep complimenting my cooking.”
Jungkook chuckled, shaking his head. “I’ll keep that in mind. I’m sure I could learn a thing or two from the master chef.”
“Master chef?” Taehyung laughed, feeling warmth flood his cheeks at Jungkook’s compliments. “You’re too kind.”
As they finished breakfast, Jungkook glanced at the clock and frowned. “I have that meeting in an hour. I should probably get ready.”
“Right,” Taehyung said, standing up to clear the table. “Do you want me to help you with anything?”
“Nah, I can handle it,” Jungkook replied, waving him off. “You relax for a bit. I’ll be quick.”
Taehyung nodded, watching as Jungkook disappeared into their shared bedroom. With the lingering warmth of breakfast still in the air, he felt an urge to do something special for Jungkook.
As he cleaned the dishes, an idea began to form in his mind. He wanted to surprise Jungkook by decorating the mansion a bit more, making it feel even more like home. They hadn’t had the chance to make their space truly theirs yet, and now felt like the perfect opportunity.
After washing up, Taehyung decided to head out to the local market. He grabbed his phone and texted Jungkook.
Taehyung: Hey! I’m heading to the market. Do you need anything?
Jungkook: Nope! Just focus on what you need. I’ll see you when I get back. Love you!
Taehyung felt a smile spread across his face at the sweet message. He quickly changed into a comfortable outfit and grabbed his wallet before heading out.

The market was bustling with life, colorful stalls lined with flowers, fresh produce, and various home décor items that caught Taehyung’s eye. As he walked through the aisles, he picked up a few potted plants, decorative cushions, and fairy lights to add a cozy touch to their living space.
After an hour of browsing, he made his way to the checkout line, excited to see how Jungkook would react to the little surprise.
Once home, Taehyung quickly set about transforming the mansion. He arranged the potted plants on the windowsills, draped fairy lights around the living room, and set the cushions on the couch, creating an inviting atmosphere.
Just as he finished, he heard the front door open, followed by Jungkook’s voice. “I’m back!”
Taehyung quickly composed himself, trying to act casual as he walked into the living room. Jungkook stepped inside, his eyes widening in surprise at the sight before him.
“Wow! Tae, this looks amazing!” Jungkook exclaimed, stepping further into the room. “Did you do all this?”
“Surprise!” Taehyung said, beaming with pride. “I thought it would be nice to make our space feel more like home.”
Jungkook grinned, moving closer to inspect the fairy lights. “This is perfect. It’s so cozy!”
Taehyung felt his heart swell with happiness at Jungkook’s reaction. “I’m glad you like it. I thought we could make it a bit more personal.”
Jungkook stepped forward, wrapping his arms around Taehyung’s waist, pulling him close. “You always know how to make things special. Thank you, Tae.”
Taehyung melted into the embrace, resting his head against Jungkook’s shoulder. “I just want us to be happy together.”
As they stood there, a comfortable silence enveloped them, and Taehyung couldn’t help but feel grateful for how far they’d come. Their journey hadn’t been without its challenges, but moments like this made it all worthwhile.
After a moment, Jungkook pulled back, looking serious again. “Hey, can we talk about something?”
“Of course,” Taehyung replied, feeling a slight flutter of anxiety in his stomach.
“I’ve been thinking a lot about our business,” Jungkook began, his brow furrowed. “And I want us to work together more closely.”
Taehyung’s heart raced at the idea. “You mean like collaborating on projects?”
“Exactly,” Jungkook said, his eyes lighting up. “I think our strengths complement each other really well. If we combine our efforts, we could take our businesses to new heights.”
Taehyung felt excitement bubbling inside him. “I love that idea! We make a great team.”
Jungkook nodded, a smile creeping back onto his face. “I knew you’d be on board. Let’s start brainstorming some ideas together.”
“Let’s do it!” Taehyung agreed enthusiastically. “We can set aside time this week to meet up and discuss everything.”
“Perfect,” Jungkook said, his eyes shining with determination. “I can’t wait to see what we come up with.”
As the day wore on, they spent time planning their future business endeavors, bouncing ideas off each other, and sharing their dreams. It felt invigorating to work together, and Taehyung loved the prospect of building something significant alongside Jungkook.

As night fell, they settled on the couch, snacks spread out on the coffee table in front of them. The warm glow of the fairy lights illuminated the room, creating a serene atmosphere.
“Cheers to us,” Jungkook said, lifting his glass of soda.
“To us!” Taehyung echoed, clinking his glass against Jungkook’s.
They both took a sip, and for a moment, it felt like nothing could bring them down. They had their ups and downs, but together, they could overcome anything.
