The villa was quiet, the only sounds being the gentle rustling of the palm trees outside and the distant crash of the waves against the shore. Taehyung lay in bed, his back turned to Jungkook, trying his best to fall asleep. But despite the calm surroundings, sleep felt far away. His mind was still spinning from the kiss they shared earlier, the tender touch of Jungkook’s lips lingering on his skin like a soft, warm memory.Every time Taehyung closed his eyes, he saw Jungkook’s face, that gentle smile and the intensity in his eyes. The way Jungkook looked at him made Taehyung feel something he couldn’t quite explain—like he was seen, truly seen, in a way that both comforted and terrified him.
He shifted under the covers, trying to get comfortable, but his thoughts wouldn’t stop racing. It didn’t help that Jungkook is right next to him, close enough that Taehyung could feel the warmth of his body through the sheets.
Just as Taehyung thought he might finally drift off, he felt a soft touch against his back—fingers lightly tracing a pattern on his shirt. His body tensed, his heart suddenly pounding in his chest. He didn’t need to look to know who it was.
“Can’t sleep?” Jungkook’s voice was a quiet murmur, laced with that familiar playful tone.
Taehyung squeezed his eyes shut, trying to ignore the way Jungkook’s fingers were sending shivers down his spine. “I’m fine,” he muttered, his voice a little too tight, betraying the nerves he was trying to hide.
Jungkook chuckled softly, clearly not buying it. His fingers trailed lazily up Taehyung’s back, moving to brush against the nape of his neck. “Are you sure?” he whispered, leaning a little closer, his breath warm against Taehyung’s ear.
Taehyung’s body stiffened even more, his breath hitching at the sensation. Jungkook’s touch was featherlight, almost innocent, but it was enough to send a wave of heat through him, making it impossible to focus on anything else.
“I said I’m fine,” Taehyung replied, trying to sound firm, but his voice came out breathy and weak.
Jungkook chuckled again, the sound low and teasing. “You’re such a bad liar, Tae,” he whispered, his fingers continuing their slow, torturous path down Taehyung’s arm. “You’re all tense.”
Taehyung bit his lip, trying to suppress the involuntary shiver that ran through him. Jungkook’s touch was driving him crazy, but he didn’t want to give in—not again. He was already too flustered from the day’s events, and now Jungkook was pushing all the right buttons, teasing him just enough to keep him on edge.
“Jungkook, stop,” Taehyung whispered, though there was no real conviction in his voice.
Jungkook hummed softly, clearly enjoying himself. “Stop what?” he asked, his voice innocent, but there was a hint of mischief in it.
His fingers continued to trace gentle patterns on Taehyung’s skin, slipping just under the edge of his shirt. The light touch sent a surge of warmth through Taehyung’s body, making him tense even more.
“You’re doing it again,” Taehyung muttered, his face growing warmer by the second. “Teasing me.”
Jungkook let out a soft laugh, his breath tickling Taehyung’s ear. “Maybe,” he whispered, “but I like seeing you like this.”
Taehyung’s breath hitched again, and he could feel his cheeks burning in the dark. He was grateful that the room was dimly lit, hiding the deep blush that was surely spreading across his face.
He shifted under the covers, trying to move away from Jungkook’s touch, but the bed was too small, and there was nowhere to go. Jungkook was close now, his presence overwhelming as he continued to playfully tease Taehyung with light, barely-there touches.
“I told you to stop,” Taehyung said again, though his voice lacked the usual bite. It was more of a plea than a demand.
Jungkook’s chuckle was soft, his fingers still tracing lazy circles on Taehyung’s arm. “But you like it,” he murmured, his voice low and intimate, sending another shiver down Taehyung’s spine.
Taehyung squeezed his eyes shut, trying to ignore the way his heart was racing in his chest. He didn’t want to admit it, but Jungkook was right. There was something about the way Jungkook touched him, the way he teased him, that left Taehyung feeling flustered but... warm. He hated how easily Jungkook could get under his skin, but at the same time, he couldn’t deny how much he enjoyed it.
“I’m trying to sleep,” Taehyung muttered, his voice barely above a whisper.
Jungkook hummed again, clearly not bothered by Taehyung’s protest. “Sure you are,” he said softly, his fingers moving back up to brush against Taehyung’s neck again. “But you’re all tense. I’m just helping you relax.”
Taehyung let out a shaky breath, his body trembling slightly under Jungkook’s gentle touch. “That’s not helping,” he managed to say, his voice tight.
Jungkook chuckled softly, his breath warm against Taehyung’s ear. “Then maybe this will help,” he whispered before leaning in and pressing a soft, lingering kiss to the back of Taehyung’s neck.
Taehyung’s entire body froze at the sensation, his breath catching in his throat. The kiss was so gentle, so unexpected, that it sent a jolt of electricity through him. His heart raced even faster, and his mind went blank for a moment, overwhelmed by the warmth of Jungkook’s lips against his skin.
“Jungkook—” Taehyung started, but his voice faltered, unable to form a coherent thought.
Jungkook pulled back slightly, his lips brushing against Taehyung’s ear. “Still tense?” he asked, his voice low and teasing, and Taehyung could hear the smile in it.
Taehyung didn’t know how to respond. His mind was spinning, his body buzzing with warmth and nerves. He could feel the heat radiating off of Jungkook, his presence both comforting and overwhelming at the same time.
Before Taehyung could gather his thoughts, Jungkook moved even closer, his chest pressed against Taehyung’s back. His arms slipped around Taehyung’s waist, pulling him into a loose embrace.
“Just relax, Tae,” Jungkook murmured softly, his voice warm and soothing. “I’m here.”
Taehyung swallowed hard, his body still tense but slowly beginning to melt into Jungkook’s embrace. There was something calming about the way Jungkook held him, the way his warmth seeped into Taehyung’s skin, chasing away the nervous energy that had been building all night.
For a moment, Taehyung let himself relax into the comfort of Jungkook’s arms, his eyes fluttering shut as he listened to the steady rhythm of Jungkook’s breathing. He could feel the rise and fall of Jungkook’s chest against his back, the warmth of his body enveloping him.
Maybe it wasn’t so bad, being teased by Jungkook. Maybe, just maybe, he didn’t mind it at all.
