The warm afternoon sun filtered through the tall windows of the mansion’s living room as Taehyung sat on the couch, flipping absentmindedly through a magazine. The peaceful quiet was suddenly interrupted by the familiar chime of the doorbell. Jungkook, who had been in his office working, emerged, heading toward the door with curiosity.

When Jungkook opened it, there stood their mothers, bright smiles on their faces, practically glowing with excitement. Taehyung stood up at the sound of the door, his brows furrowing in confusion. It wasn’t unusual for their moms to visit, but the energy in the room felt different today—almost too eager.

“Mom?” Jungkook’s voice held a note of suspicion as he stepped back to let both women in. “What’s going on?”

Taehyung’s mother, Mrs. Kim, immediately walked over to her son, pulling him into a tight hug, as Mrs. Jeon followed suit with Jungkook. It had become an odd, comforting routine for both boys—seeing their once-rival mothers now acting like the best of friends. The tension that had existed between the families had dissipated, and the two matriarchs had quickly become inseparable, much to the surprise of everyone else.

Mrs. Jeon stepped back from her hug, exchanging a mischievous look with Mrs. Kim, before both women turned their full attention to the boys.

“We have something for you two,” Mrs. Kim began, her eyes twinkling with excitement.

“Something special,” Mrs. Jeon added, her smile widening as she pulled a white envelope out of her bag.

Taehyung and Jungkook exchanged glances, both wary of whatever scheme their mothers had cooked up this time. Jungkook was the first to reach for the envelope, carefully tearing it open as Taehyung leaned in, trying to see what was inside.

It was a pair of plane tickets, followed by a glossy brochure for a luxurious beachside resort. The words “Honeymoon Suite” jumped out at Jungkook immediately, causing his eyes to widen. Taehyung grabbed the brochure from his hands, his expression shifting from confusion to surprise.

“A honeymoon?” Taehyung blurted out, staring at the tickets as if they might disappear. “But we didn’t—”

“You didn’t plan one,” Mrs. Jeon interrupted, her tone sweet but firm. “So, we decided to plan one for you.”

Mrs. Kim clapped her hands together in excitement. “It’s the perfect chance for the two of you to relax, take some time away from all the business, and enjoy your marriage properly.”

Jungkook’s jaw dropped slightly as he processed the information. He turned to his mother, voice incredulous. “You planned this… together?”

Mrs. Kim nodded enthusiastically. “We thought it was about time. After all, you’ve been so busy with everything else, and a honeymoon is an important tradition.”

“Not to mention,” Mrs. Jeon chimed in, “the place is absolutely gorgeous. Private beach, beautiful views, and the most romantic sunsets you’ll ever see.”

Taehyung blinked at the tickets, then at Jungkook, who was still trying to wrap his head around the situation. A honeymoon? He hadn’t even thought about it. They had been so focused on figuring out their relationship, their business, and everything in between.

But here were their mothers, gifting them a trip meant to solidify their marriage—an unexpected, but oddly fitting next step.

“Uh, thanks?” Taehyung finally managed, unsure of what else to say. He glanced at Jungkook for help, but Jungkook looked equally caught off guard.

“You’re welcome!” Mrs. Kim beamed, clearly satisfied with their reaction. “You leave in two days, so make sure you’re packed.”

Jungkook finally found his voice, though it was still laced with disbelief. “You’ve already booked everything?”

Mrs. Jeon nodded, her grin widening. “Of course. The flights, the resort—everything’s set. All you have to do is enjoy yourselves.”

With that, the two women hugged their sons once more before quickly making their exit, leaving the tickets and brochure on the coffee table between Jungkook and Taehyung. The door clicked shut, and the house fell back into silence, except for the faint ticking of the clock on the wall.

Jungkook let out a long breath, shaking his head. “I can’t believe they did this.”

Taehyung chuckled, sinking back onto the couch as he picked up the brochure, flipping through it. “You know, I’m not even surprised at this point. Our moms have been planning something like this ever since they started becoming best friends.”

Jungkook sat down beside him, glancing at the photos of the resort—the white sandy beaches, crystal-clear water, and sprawling villas that looked like something out of a dream. A part of him wanted to protest the idea, but another part of him—one that had grown more comfortable in Taehyung’s presence—was intrigued. Maybe this was exactly what they needed.

Taehyung must have sensed the shift in Jungkook’s mood, because he smiled softly and nudged him with his elbow. “What do you think? Should we go?”

Jungkook met Taehyung’s gaze, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips. “Do we really have a choice?”

Taehyung laughed, the sound warm and genuine. “Not if we don’t want our moms to come after us.”

Jungkook chuckled, the tension easing as he thought about it. In a way, it made sense. They had been navigating their new life together, building something tentative and real. Maybe this honeymoon could be a chance to solidify that—to explore whatever was growing between them, away from the distractions and responsibilities they had at home.

“Well,” Jungkook said, leaning back against the couch with a sigh, “I guess we’re going on a honeymoon.”

Taehyung grinned, his eyes twinkling with amusement. “Guess so.”

And as they sat there, the weight of the tickets and what they represented started to sink in. It wasn’t just a vacation—it was an opportunity. A chance to move forward, together.
