The years flew by, as they always seem to do. Both of Jungkook's parent had meet their end while only Mrs Kim is left for Taehyung yet after a few months of this very year, she had said her last goodbye making Taehyung shed tears nonstop for 2 motnhs until he had finally calmed down. Then, Jungkyung had grown from a bubbly baby into a curious and bright child, he was despicable, sporty kid. He keeps winning the sports such as running during sports day. He also always strive in his academics making both his parent felt like they have created the perfect child, the child everyone must had dreamed of.
And now he is an energetic teenager, full of ambition and dreams of his own. Jungkook and Taehyung watched with pride as their son living his life, always there to support him, whether he was struggling with schoolwork, excitedly discussing his plans for the future, or spending time with friends. Teenage boys life can sometimes be complicated.
One late afternoon, as the sun dipped low in the sky, the family gathered in the backyard of their mansion. The air was filled with the smell of fresh grass, the soft sound of birds singing in the distance. Jungkook sat at the edge of the garden, sipping tea, while Taehyung set up a small fire pit for an evening under the stars.
Jungkyung, now seventeen, was busy working on a sketch for an art project, his concentration evident as his pencil moved swiftly across the paper.
"Look at him," Jungkook said, glancing over at Taehyung with a warm smile. "He's so focused. He gets that from you."
Taehyung scoffed and laughed softly, wiping his hands on his pants before joining Jungkook on the garden bench. "I think he gets it from you mostly. You've always been so driven." making Jungkook chuckles.
They sat in comfortable silence for a while, watching Jungkyung. He had grown into a young man who embodied the best parts of both of them—Taehyung's sensitivity and artistic nature, combined with Jungkook's tenacity and determination. Their son was a blend of their love, and it filled them with immense pride.
As the sun began to set, Jungkyung finally looked up, flashing his parents a wide smile. "I think I'm done for the day. Do you want to see it?"
Jungkook and Taehyung exchanged a look before nodding enthusiastically. "Of course we do," Taehyung said, motioning for Jungykung to bring the sketch over.
Jungkyung handed them the paper, his cheeks flushing slightly as they inspected the piece. It was a drawing of their family, set in the garden where they now sat. The details were meticulous, capturing the warmth and love that filled their lives. Even the subtle glances between Jungkook and Taehyung were perfectly drawn, and the image of their family felt almost alive on the page. It meant so much to them knowing Jungkyung was also observing their behaviour.
"It's beautiful, Jungkyung," Jungkook said, his voice filled with awe and his eyes glimpse with excitement. "You've really captured us."
Taehyung's eyes misted as he looked at the drawing. "You're so talented, sweetheart. We're so proud of you."
Jungkying smiled bashfully, rubbing the back of his neck. "Thanks, Daddy. Thanks, Papa."
As the evening darkened, the family gathered around the fire pit, roasting marshmallows and sharing stories from the past. They laughed about Jungkyung's childhood antics, they told him how he use to give them sleepless night, reminisced about the early days of their marriage, and talked about the future ahead of them, of what exactly is waiting for them.
Jungkyung was nearing the end of high school, and soon, he'd be heading off to university. Though the thought of their son leaving home was bittersweet, Jungkook and Taehyung knew it was time. Jungkyung was ready to take on the world, they could see their son being successful in both work and personal life. They are full of joy seeing their son and they couldn't have been more proud.
