Chapter 14: Aftercare

Izuku could feel softness all around him. It was like he was floating on a cloud. It felt amazing. He had never felt so comfortable and content. The Omega opened his green eyes, rubbing the sleep from them. He was in his nest, alone. What was going on? Were the last four days a dream? His whole body ached, yet it often did after his heat. His array of toys were usually strewn across his nest. He couldn't see any of them.

He reached up to touch his scent gland, his heart pounding loudly in his head.

There was a mark. A mating mark. He had an Alpha. Though where was his Alpha? Why had he woken up alone?

As his panic began to increase, the door to his bedroom was opened with a shove. A very handsome blond Alpha entered carrying a tray of what looked like food. It smelt life food. Though it was difficult to tell, his room was filled with a mixture of pheromones and sex.

"Hey, you're awake. I was hoping to make it back in here before you did. Wait, what's the matter? Why are you crying?" The tray was immediately placed on the side table and the Alpha crawled to his Omega, pulling the smaller male to his chest.

"I...I...thought that y...you left m...me. That you realised that you didn't w...want me," Izuku tears were cascading down his freckled face.

"Hey, hey. Shhh, it's ok. I'm sorry that I wasn't here when you woke up. I knew that you would be hungry when you woke up so I wanted to make you breakfast. I would never leave you. Never," the Alpha held his Omega's face in his hands, emitting soothing pheromones as he spoke.

Izuku began to calm down, nuzzling as close to his Alpha as possible. His Alpha. That was going to take some getting used to.

"I know that I didn't start my heat here. I mean I'm glad that I'm in my nest, it's the best place to be for my heat. I have some fizzy memories from the last few days. And it even smells like you now, that's even better-"

Bakugo silenced him with a kiss. A gentle one, nothing like the ones he vaguely remembered from his heat. Oh, his heat. Izuku could feel the temperature rising in his cheeks as he thought back to what the two had been doing. He looked down, realising that he was still naked. The Alpha on the other hand, was wearing some underwear at least. He quickly tried to cover himself with a blanket, the Alpha only laughed.

"Look at me, Izuku," the words were calming but Izuku felt the hint of dominance in them. "I love it when you ramble on but I need you to listen to me. We spent the initial part of your heat in the hospital. You sent me into a rut so we had to wait until that passed before anything could be done about the location. I may have been a little aggressive with some shitty extra, but they shouldn't have tried to get in my way as we were leaving. Once your first heat cycle and my rut had passed, we travelled here."

"That makes sense, I guess. Though you shouldn't have hurt anyone. I hope you apologised, Kacchan," it was now Izuku's turn to attempt to be assertive.

"Do I have myself as sassy Omega?" Bakugo playfully licked the mark on his Omega's neck, sending shivers across Izuku's skin. "No, but I wouldn't worry about it. It was only that half-and-half bastard Alpha-"

"What? What did you do to Todoroki?" Izuku moved away from the Alpha, crossing his arms over his chest.

"He started it! I'd already marked you, he was trying to interfere in things that weren't his business," the Alpha said, pouting. Izuku couldn't help but think that it was cute. The Omega huffed loudly. Deep down he knew that his Alpha would always be on the boisterous side, really it was just a protective feature.

"Well, as long as you didn't take things too far. He's my friend, and-" the blond silenced him with another kiss, this one a little hotter.

Izuku leant into it, enjoying the way his lips felt against the Alpha's. The Omega moved closer, only to be stopped by Bakugo. A pout appeared on the Omega's delicate face.

"Stop talking about other Alphas when you look like that. And as much as I would love to continue this, you need to eat something. Something nutritional, Omega. Don't look at me like that. You are more than welcome to do that once you're rested," the blond winked, causing Izuku's face to heat up once again. He might need a fan in here.

Izuku couldn't help but blush. He wasn't usually this turned on, but something about the Alpha sitting in front of him made me feel all hot and bothered, even after his heat. He couldn't stop staring at the toned chest. How he'd love to lick-no, not right now.

He turned his attention to the tray that Bakugo had now placed in front of him. His tummy rumbled at the sight of pancakes topped with fruit and chocolate. He really was a lucky Omega.

It didn't take long for Iuku to devour his breakfast, Bakugo insisting on hand feeding him parts of it. He had to put a stop to it before his arousal spiked again. He really needed to get a better handle on his emotions right now. They would never leave the nest at this rate.

Once he was fed, Izuku headed for a shower. He still had bits of slick and cum on him. It smelt like him and his Alpha, which was great, but he needed to be clean. The two had some important things to talk about.

Whilst he showered, Bakugo stripped off part of the nest. He knew that he had to be careful with it, but the sheets needed changing. Izuku trusted his Alpha. Hopefully Bakugo would rub his scent all over the clean bedding for him. He could feel slick leaking out of him as he showered. Maybe he should do something about it. No, he needed to remain level headed. For a little while anyway.

Once the Omega and his nest were clean it was time for them to have their conversation. Izuku was sitting on the sofa, snuggled up to the blond Alpha.

"I know that things felt a little rushed in the hospital, I'm sorry about all of that. I feel as though you were kind of pushed into all of this, Kacchan. I know that you are my mate and I just want this to work," Izuku had so many thoughts rushing through his head, he wasn't sure where to begin.

"Izuku, I know and I understand. I want this, I want you. I wouldn't have marked you if not. Your fucking heat pheromones sent me into a rut. If that's not a sign that we are compatible then I don't know what is."

"I guess you're right. It's just that it's us. After I found out that we were meant to be together, I never actually imagined that it would happen," Izuku could feel tears brewing behind his eyes, he would not let them fall.

"It all makes sense that you are an Omega, Deku. That you are my Omega. I just can't believe that I never realised," the Alpha chuckled a little, "I want you to move in with me. My place is bigger and, well it's just better."

This is what Izuku had been concerned about.

"But I don't want to move. Can't you move in here? My nest is already here, it's close to work and my mum's."

"You shouldn't need to worry about any of that. Omegas don't really need to work-"

"What?" Izuku was on his feet immediately. Has his Alpha really just said that? "I've been working as a Hero whilst being an Omega, Kacchan. That isn't going to change now."

"Yes, I know. But now you have me so you don't need to work. You can stay at home, stay safe."

"I am perfectly capable of protecting myself, Alpha," strong, sour pheromones filled the room.

"Oh you did a fantastic job when you went charging after the Alpha who injected you with the heat inducing serum," Bakugo was now standing too. They were facing one another, neither one willing to back down.

"So that's really what you think of me, the weak Deku that used to follow you around as a kid. You really haven't changed."

"Look, I know that this isn't easy. I just don't want to see you getting hurt."

"No, you want to have a lovely Omega mate at home looking after the pups. I can just see it now. That is not what I want. Maybe this was a mistake."

Bakugo stepped back, "what did you say? A mistake? You can't be serious, Deku?" He moved back further, "If that's how you feel then I'll get out of your way." Bakugo threw on his clothes and stormed out of the apartment.

Izuku didn't stop him. He didn't want an Alpha that was controlling and wouldn't let him work. Didn't he?

Izuku heard the door slam shut and the tears began to fall out of emerald eyes.
