The three of them sat on the sofa. Izuku and his Alpha snuggled together on the left, with the red head on the other side. Each was holding a warm mug of coffee as they began to discuss their options.
"Just wait until I find the bastard that did this," Bakugo was clearly trying his best to keep his emotions and pheromones in check. It was not going well. Kirishima had had to cover his nose twice already.
Yet, as they were bonded, Izuku found the intensity of them warming, somewhat soothing the anxiety that was spinning around his head. The warm woodsy scent swirled around him, protective and secure. Exactly what he needed right now. Fate.
He patted the blond's leg playfully, "Kacchan, as much as I appreciate the protective gesture, we need to think about this logically," he turned to their friend, "Kirishima, what is the plan? What does Aizawa want us to do?"
"Aizawa has written a statement that will be published as soon as you guys give the go ahead. You both need to stay low for the time being. Not sure how long, we're hoping you can come back on patrol soon. We miss you. Stay here with Kat. The statement basically outlines that you kept your designation a secret for protection. Yours and those around you. You aren't ashamed of being an Omega but are worried that some will try to target you or those close to you. It also states that you never intended to cause any hurt or disrespect and that you will always value the support of your colleagues and fans. Oh and that you hope people can forgive you."
Izuku let the words sink in. It all sounded fair enough. He couldn't fully squash the apprehension, "will people believe it though? Wouldn't it be better if I held an in-person press conference?"
Bakugo chimed in this time, "no, that would not be a good idea. Listen, don't pout. I know how much you value your fans, I do. But this way we can gauge a sense of how people feel. You would get flustered with the press and this could go pear-shaped. There are only so many questions that we can prepare for. I'm sure we can do that after some time has passed."
Izuku was still pouting. He knew his Alpha was right, he just didn't want to hide. He wasn't a coward. "What do we do? Just sit around and wait?"
"Yes, that is exactly what you do," Kirishima took a large gulp before placing his cup on the coffee table. "One of us will bring over some essentials for you guys. It won't just be you, Midoriya. Kat you are just as likely to be hounded by the press."
"Then I'll blast their faces!" The Alpha growled, popping some small explosions in his empty hand.
"Kacchan," the Omega couldn't help but giggle, "you can't do that. We will make this work I guess. I just hope that it all blows over quickly."
"Speaking off...are there any leads as to who spilt Izuku's secret?"
A frown was the initial response. "Unfortunately not. Aizawa has got a team working on it, pulling in all of his underground connections. I'm sorry guys."
"Maybe we could do some work from here? I'm sure there is paperwork that needs completing. There is only so much to keep us occupied here."
It was the blond's turn to laugh now, "Come to think about, I know exactly what we can do to pass the time." Izuku glanced up at the larger male, there was a devilish glint in crimson eyes. The green haired Omega felt calloused fingers trace the line of his waistband.
"Not now you horny Alpha! We have company!" He tried to bat away prying hands but the Alpha only laughed harder and began to tickle him.
The laughter continued as Bakugo didn't stop.
A throat clearing cough snapped the two of it.
"I think I'm done here. I'll leave the two of you alone. As I said, one of us will be around with food and stuff you guys need. I'll let Aizawa know that you are happy with his plan." The red haired Alpha stood and made his way to the door. Izuku and his Alpha detangled themselves and followed their friend.
The blond Alpha closed the front door behind his friend. Izuku watched the two of them share a private word or two. What was that all about?
Once Bakugo had fully closed the door he turned his body back to face Izuku. Was that a smile on his face?
"What did you say to him, Kacchan?" He didn't intend for his tone to be so sharp, but it wasn't missed by the Alpha.
"Such a bratty Omega," the blond ruffled green hair between his fingers, "if you must know, I was thanking him." That took the words right out of Izuku's mouth. "I know, I'm being so well behaved. Come on, let's have some lunch and we can watch your favourite hero movie."
Izuku followed Bakugo back to the kitchenette, a bounce in his step. Maybe this day wasn't going to be as bad as he thought.
"Maybe this time together will be just what we need. It has been so busy for us as a newly bonded pair that we can just enjoy one another's company."
"You're right there, Izuku. What do you want to eat? I should have everything in for Katsudon," the blond chuckled at the Omega's vigorous head nodding.
"Yes please, Kacchan! Can I help at all?"
"Nah, take a seat and we can talk through a bit of a plan for the next few days." Bakugo began pulling ingredients and cooking equipment out. "We are going to need to make a list of things that we need. Maybe Round Face can get some stuff from your place as we left in a hurry." He passed Izuku his phone. "Send her a list of what you need."
Izuku wasn't one to conform to designation tendencies, but the way in which Bakugo was instructing him was becoming appealing. Very appealing indeed.
"Calm yourself down, Omega. I can smell your arousal from here," he winked at Izuku, "let me feed you up and then I'm sure we can find something to do to pass the time."
