The Omega bounced around the apartment as his Alpha filled the kitchenette with the delicious aroma of his favourite dish. He had been told to sit and be patient but that had not been an easy task. After the emotional rollercoaster of recently bonding and then Bakugo storming out, he was feeling particularly attached to the Alpha. He had to stay close or his inner Omega might lose it.
He wanted this to work, and so had to give it a go. Bakugo had come back. The Alpha had even been open and honest with him. He needed to try too. For this relationship to work, he had to put in the effort. Nothing valuable came easily.
"If you aren't going to sit down and do as you're told, then come here and give me a hand. I need you to set the table. Can my Omega manage that?" the Alpha looked knowingly at the smaller male, which in turn made him blush.
"Yes, of course. I'm on it!" Izuku practically squealed as he began getting out bowls and the chopsticks. He knew he wasn't any good in the kitchen, he'd been close to burning down their class's dormitory more times than he'd be willing to admit. Yet, he wanted to be of some help to Bakugo.
It wasn't long before the two of them were tucking into the katsudon. Izuku tried his best to eat at a normal speed, but it tasted far too good. He missed his mouth on one occasion, causing Bakugo to almost choke on his own food. This resulted in the two almost falling off their chairs with laughter. Things were beginning to feel right for Izuku.
Once the two had finished eating, Bakugo told him to get comfortable on the sofa. He did just that. The Omega grabbed his favourite blanket and waited patiently for his Alpha, who was tidying up. Izuku couldn't help but watch him, more specifically those muscles of his. They flexed as he moved around the kitchenette, showing through his tight fitted shirt.
"Izuku, I can smell you from here. I was hoping to save that until later, but I could easily bend you over the table right now if you carry on emitting such strong pheromones," the Alpha carried on putting things away as he spoke, never looking at the Omega. However, Izuku knew that the Alpha would carry out his threat.
"Oh-er, sorry Kacchan," Izuku couldn't help the heat radiate to his face, he quickly looked down at the floor, "no, I can wait. I'm enjoying this, us spending time like this together." He couldn't help scratching the back of his neck.
"Good. Now that's done, I need you to pick a film. Stop worrying. Any film you like, ok? I can sit through one of those hero films as long as you are sitting with me." The Alpha was standing in front of him, he leant down and placed a soft kiss on Izuku's pink cheeks. All the Omega could do was nod. His Alpha was making his brain turn to mush. This softer side to Bakugo was going to take some getting used to.
He turned on the TV, he must have been watching the news last. A female news reporter spoke loudly from what looked like the centre of the city. Her voice blared into the room. "We've just had an update on the current villain attack. I have just been told that two, no three, heroes have been rushed to the hospital. This villain seems to be causing a lot of trouble. People need to stay in their homes. So far reports are saying that this villain is on a rampage. He has destroyed several buildings in the centre of Musutafu with a quirk that turns water into acid."
She carried on speaking, but Izuku's mind was racing. The Omega looked from the TV to the Alpha and then back again. What was going on? Why hadn't they been called? "Kacchan what's going on? Surely we would have been contacted? Have you seen my..."
The Alpha was already looking for his phone, and Izuku followed suit. They had been so wrapped up in their date night that they had left them by the door on the small side table. They were going to be in so much trouble.
Yet, what surprised Izuku even more was the fact that neither of them had any messages or missed calls. Why hadn't they been contacted regarding this?
"Why haven't those extras called me?" there was a harsh tone to Bakugo's voice, "let's go. By the looks of things they are going to need both of us."
"What about our hero outfits? I keep a spare one of mine here, but you..." Izuku was cut off by a stern look from his mate.
"We don't have time for that. Grab your keys and let's go."
Izuku took a deep breath but did as he was instructed, turning the TV off before following Bakugo out of the door. Once out of the building the two activated their quirks and sped off towards the centre of the city.
Loud bangs and shouting reached their ears before they arrived. It was chaos. Izuku looked around as they landed close to an evacuation point. They needed to find the hero in charge.
"Who's in charge of the situation here? Bakugo bellowed as he stormed off towards a group of heroes. Izuku dashed after him, he wasn't going to let his Alpha out of he sight. The second shock of the evening came from seeing Uraraka directing emergency staff and civilians.
Izuku stopped in front of her, "Ochaco, what's going on? Where do you need us?" He could feel his Alpha standing next to him, rage seeping out of him through his pheromones. "Kacchan, calm down. We need to wait to be directed."
The Beta glanced cautiously between the two. Something wasn't right here, Izuku could feel it. She was hiding something.
"Well, I'm not sure where you two are needed. I think everything is under control here-"
"-Under control! Have you seen this mess? Deku, let's go."
Izuku felt himself pulled away from his friend, her eyes clearly expressing her concern.
The two climbed over rubble and debris until they saw some more familiar heroes. Aizawa was standing with two other familiar faces. Kirishima and Todoroki. They were walking towards Izuku and Bakugo with what looked like the villain draped over Kirishima's hardened shoulder.
"Hey, Shitty hair! Explain yourself!"
The three stopped when they saw the two new arrivals. Todoroki glanced at Izuku but then looked away.
It was Aizawa who stepped in, "Red Riot, Shoto, take the villain to the police, then get yourselves checked over."
"Yes Sir," they both walked past the two not meeting their eyes. What was going on here? Something wasn't right but danger sense hadn't been activated.
Izuku placed a hand on his Alpha's arm, but looked at the darker haired male, "Eraser Head, Sir. What's going on? Why weren't we called?"
It seemed as though, however, the blond Alpha wasn't going to listen. "Yeah, I don't understand why I-we weren't contacted!" Bakugo was shaking, Izuku did his best to calm the Alpha with his pheromones. Instead, a whimper escaped his lips. What was happening to him?
"That, Bakugo is why you weren't called," Aizawa spoke calmly. Izuku couldn't tell what the older Alpha was referring to. He turned to his own Alpha for guidance.
Bakugo's shaking had increased, his hole body was moving. The Omega didn't know what to do. He moved closer. Maybe smothering his scent all over him would help.
"Kacchan, what's wrong? What do you need?. Oomph," Izuku was lifted into the blond's arms and pulled tightly against his strong chest.
"He's going feral. That is why you weren't called. I knew that this would happen. An Alpha needs time after forming a bond to let their inner Alpha settle down. So much if focused on the Omega, that people often forget the Alpha. Especially since Bakugo went into a rut when you bonded. Having you, his Omega out here around other Alphas and all of this danger is sending him crazy. You need to get him out of here, and it needs to be now," Aizawa spoke calmly yet quickly, clearly trying to show that he was no threat.
It all made sense to the little Omega. They had put themselves in this situation, they had to get themselves out of it.
Izuku let his Alpha hold him. He knew that Bakugo needed to feel as though he was in control. What was he going to do?
"Kacchan, Alpha? I need you to take me somewhere safe," he tried to speak as softly as possible, adding a needy tone to help appeal to the Alpha's protectiveness. He rubbed himself against Bakugo, whimpering. He really hoped that no one was watching.
All he received in response was a guttural growl. Izuku was lifted higher, realising that he needed to wrap his legs around the Alpha's waist. The blond Alpha began walking, though Izuku had no idea where he was being taken.
