"Who was that?" Patrick smirked as I took the seat across from him.

"A friend from school," I smiled, feeling the blush on my face.

"A friend," Patrick shook his head.

"Patrick!" I groaned, "Shut your mouth."

He made a lock and key motion over his mouth before throwing the key far away.

"How's life at Tommen?" I asked, painfully aware of Joeys eyes drilling holes in the back of my head.

"Same old," He shrugged.

That was Patrick for you. A man of very few words, which in my opinion was a nice change of pace from most boys my age.

"Your friend won't stop looking at you," He dragged his eyes to where Joeys table was.

I turned to look, just as Joey and Shannon stood up and walked towards our table.

Or the door.

When he passed the table I gave him a smile and a quick wave to which he responded with a very sexy smirk. When the door closed behind him, I felt my cheeks burning up.

Patrick eyed me with a 'you're so obvious' look in his eyes but didn't say anything about it.

Less than a minute later, Johnny and Gibsie appeared at our table.

"Hi Gabs," Gibsie ruffled the top of my hair.

"Hey," Johnny nodded at me in acknowledgment before taking the seat beside Patrick.

"Where are Katie and Hughie?" I asked, looking back towards the door.

"Get this," Gibsie huffed, from beside me, "We were about to leave and the pair said they had something to do."

"Something horny," Johnny snorted, pulling a plastic container out of his backpack.

"Look at this eejit," Gibsie gestured to Johnny, "Bringing his bland ass chicken into this fine establishment."

"I've a physique to maintain," He rolled his eyes, tossing a steamed carrot at Gibsie.

"Well, my physique is perfect without having to try," Gibsie shrugged, picking up the menu in front of him.

"What happened to your eye?" I asked, noticing the shiner Gibsie was sporting.

"A fight," He muttered, "You should see the other guy."

"A fight about what?" I cocked an eyebrow.

The table fell silent, which pretty much answered my question.

It was about that.
The reason for my transfer and the bane of my existence.

"Oh," I mumbled, slouching in my chair.
