Two Weeks Ago...

Saori and Megumi are sparring at a private dojo, their movements fluid and precise. After an intense hour of back-and-forth exchanges, Saori finally manages to pin Megumi down to the mat.

Saori breathless but triumphant: Haiyahh!

Megumi smirked at her: Okay, I yield.

They both got up, brushed off the sweat and headed over to the sideline for a much-needed water break.

Saori took a sip of her water: Hey, thanks for taking the time to stay with me. I know it must kinda suck being stuck babysitting me.

Megumi takes a long drink from his bottle, then shrugs.

Megumi: It's really not a big deal. You're not as annoying and troublesome as I thought you would be.

Saori playfully nudges Megumi on the shoulder, feigning offence.

Saori: Hey! That was a long time ago! I've totally outgrown that phase.

Megumi cocks an eyebrow, then lets out a light chuckle.

Megumi: Yeah, probably.

They sit in a comfortable silence for a moment, catching their breath. The dojo is quiet except for the distant sounds of the soft rustle of the wind outside and the occasional creak of the wooden floor beneath them. Saori looks over at Megumi, her expression earnest.

Saori: But really, thanks. This is the first time I actually feel like I belong somewhere.

Megumi nods, his expression softening.

Megumi: Truth is, I know just how you feel. When I was in middle school, I never felt like I belonged, surrounded by a bunch of normies. That attitude followed me until Jujutsu High. Then I met Itadori and Kugisaki. I really understood what it meant to have friends and people you can depend on.

Saori smiles brightly, her eyes reflecting her appreciation.

Saori: Well, Yuji and Nobara are great people. I'm fond of them.

Megumi: Yeah, well, they seem to have a pretty good liking for you as well.

Saori: Really?

Megumi nods, his tone casual, but there's a hint of warmth in his voice.

Megumi: Yeah... You must have left quite the impression on them.

Saori chuckled, but then her expression turned playful yet curious.

Saori: That's good to know. And what about you, Fushiguro? Do you like me?

Megumi's face instantly flushes a shade of pink, his usual stoic demeanor faltering for a moment. He looks away, caught off guard.

Megumi stammered slightly: I— uh, well... you're... cool. I mean, as far as people go. You're an okay friend to have.

Saori's smile widened, sensing his discomfort but playfully pushed for more.

Saori: Just a friend, huh?

Megumi, trying to recover, runs a hand through his hair, clearly flustered.

Megumi: Yeah! Just friends.

He clears his throat, eager to change the subject.

Megumi: Anyway, we should probably get back to training.

Saori watches him, a mixture of amusement and affection in her gaze.

Saori: Right! More practice means more chances to pin you down again!
