Chapter 19 - battle of domains part 1

The sun streamed lazily through the windows of the student common area, casting warm light over the group of friends lounging around during their free period. Saori and Megumi were seated on one of the couches, Megumi casually resting one arm around Saori's shoulder as they leaned into each other. Yuji was sprawled out on a bean bag nearby, while Nobara, Maki, and Yuta occupied other corners of the room, sipping drinks and chatting idly.

Yuji, ever curious, broke the comfortable silence. "Hey, Saori," he said, sitting up suddenly. "We all know about Gojo-sensei's Domain Expansion, Infinite Void. What's yours like?"

The room perked up at his question, everyone turning their attention to Saori. Even Megumi raised an eyebrow, intrigued.

Saori smirked, her eyes glinting mischievously. "My Domain Expansion? It's called Infinite Divine Chaos."

Maki cocked her head, her usual sharp gaze narrowing. "Divine chaos, huh? That sounds... intense. What does it do exactly?"

"Yeah, what does it do?" Yuji echoed, leaning in, always eager to learn about new techniques.

Saori leaned back against Megumi, her voice calm but confident. "The name is pretty much what it suggests. When I activate my Domain, I distort time and space, bending reality to my will. I can create multiple illusions of myself, each one capable of doing damage. Those illusions can attack with Amplification Blue, Reversal Red, and even Hollow Purple simultaneously. My Limitless is amplified within the Domain, but it's chaos — so I need to stay focused and adapt quickly. It's a lot to maintain, even for me."

The room fell silent for a moment, processing the weight of her words. Everyone knew just how difficult maintaining a Domain Expansion was, especially one as complex as Saori's.

As the group discussed their Domain Expansions, Maki smirked, glancing between Saori and Satoru. "So, while Gojo's Domain represents order, yours embodies chaos? That's a pretty poetic contrast."

Soari grins. "Exactly!"

Yuji let out a low whistle. "Wow... Could you take down Megumi and Yuta in a Domain battle?"

Yuta, who had been quietly observing, finally spoke up. "We could hold our own," he said, thoughtful, "but Saori's got the upper hand with her Six Eyes. Like Gojo-sensei, her cursed energy seems nearly infinite. Her Advanced Reverse Cursed Technique would be a nightmare to deal with in a prolonged fight."

Megumi, ever the strategist, nodded in agreement. "It's not easy to maintain a Domain, even with all that cursed energy. The problem isn't just her power, it's her Advanced RCT. It would keep her going far longer than either of us could last. We'd have to rely on pure skill and strategy. But I think my Domain would hold up pretty well."

Saori chuckled, casting a playful glance at Megumi. "I'd bet the two of you would give me a run for my money." She leaned over and kissed Megumi on the cheek, causing him to turn a slight shade of red.

Maki rolled her eyes, folding her arms. "Could you two not do that right now?"

Nobara grinned, ever the instigator. "I'd bet on Saori all the way. No offense, you two." She waved dismissively at Megumi and Yuta, her loyalty clear.

Megumi sighed dramatically. "Thanks, Nobara. Appreciate the confidence."

Before the conversation could continue, the door to the common area swung open, and in strolled Satoru Gojo, his trademark grin plastered on his face. "Did I hear something about Domain Expansions?" he asked, clearly amused by the topic. His presence instantly shifted the room's energy.

Yuji jumped in eagerly. "We were just wondering who would win if Saori took on Megumi and Yuta in a Domain battle."

Satoru raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. "Sounds like an interesting question. Why don't we test it out?" His grin widened. "You can start with Megumi first, Saori, then if you're still up for it, go against Yuta."
