As they strolled through the school grounds, the warm sun filtered through the leaves, casting dappled shadows on the path ahead.
Yuji was finishing the last bites of his tuna onigiri when he turned to Megumi, a curious look in his eyes. "Hey, Megumi, do you have any plans with Saori in the future?"
Megumi paused, a hint of surprise flickering across his face. They had only been dating for about 3 months, and they were both barely 18, the weight of such a question felt both daunting and exciting. "I mean, we've only been together for a short while," he replied, choosing his words carefully. "But maybe at some point when we're older."
Yuji nodded, his expression turning thoughtful. "You guys have already taken a big step by... you know." He winked, a teasing grin spreading across his face.
Megumi felt his cheeks heat up slightly at the reminder, but the question lingered in his mind, stirring something deep within. What would it be like if he and Saori actually built a life together? The image formed slowly in his thoughts, vivid yet delicate.
He pictured a cozy home filled with laughter, the soft patter of little feet running around. Saori would be there, her laughter ringing through the halls as she playfully chased after their kids. He could see her smiling face radiating warmth as she told them bedtime stories.
In his mind, he stood in the kitchen, clumsily trying to help with dinner while their children scampered around his legs, their excitement infectious. The thought of being a father brought a flutter of apprehension but also a strange sense of comfort. He imagined their kids inheriting Saori's kind heart and his determination, a blend of their personalities shaping the next generation.
"Hey, Megumi, you good?" Yuji's voice pulled him from his reverie, and he realized he had been staring off into space, a small smile creeping onto his face.
"Yeah, just thinking," he replied, shaking his head to clear his thoughts. The vision of a future family still lingered in his mind. Would they actually reach that point? Could he see himself embracing that life one day?
Yuji raised an eyebrow, clearly curious. "About what? You've got that dreamy look on your face."
Megumi shrugged, a faint blush creeping onto his cheeks. "Nothing. Just... imagining what it would be like if Saori and I had a family one day."
Yuji's expression shifted to one of surprise and delight. "Seriously? That's awesome! I can totally see you two as parents. You'd be great at it, Fushiguro!"
"Maybe," Megumi replied, his heart racing at the thought. "But it's a long way off. We're young and still figuring things out."
"Yeah, but it's good to think about the future," Yuji said, grinning. "I just mean we'll work hard to get stronger so we can all achieve that right?."
As they continued to walk, Megumi felt lighter, his mind swirling with thoughts of Saori and the possibility of a shared future. Maybe one day, he'd take that leap and let her know just how much she meant to him.

The common room of the Jujutsu High dormitory, where the atmosphere is relaxed yet charged with the undercurrent of impending chaos. Megumi and Yuji are lounging on the couch, absorbed in their phones, occasionally snickering at whatever is on their screens.Suddenly, with a loud smack, Nobara bursts into the room, startling them both.
"Did you know, Fushiguro?" Her tone is serious, and her expression hints at disappointment.
Megumi, brow furrowed, looks up. "Huh?"
Nobara rolls her eyes, crossing her arms. "Tsk. October 10th, did you know that's Saori's birthday?"
