In the dim light of Satoru's office, the air was thick with tension and confusion. Utahime, Megumi, Shoko, Maki, and Yuji sat scattered around the room, each lost in their own thoughts as they tried to make sense of everything they had just learned. Satoru's calm revelation, his quiet understanding of where Saori had gone, lingered in their minds like an echo, a reminder of how much he had been hiding from them all.

Utahime broke the silence first, her voice tinged with disbelief. "I can't believe Gojo knew all this time—about everything—and kept it from us." She folded her arms tightly, frustration seeping into her tone as she looked around the room.

Shoko leaned back in her chair, her gaze steady, though there was a hint of sympathy in her expression. "He was just trying to protect her," she said quietly. "Protect Saori from the truth... and from the higher-ups. If they knew that her existence was the cause of all this chaos, you think they wouldn't at least try to... eliminate her?"

Everyone froze at Shoko's words, the implications hanging heavily in the air. The thought of the higher-ups deciding Saori's fate like that, of them viewing her as an inconvenience rather than a person, was chilling. A grim silence settled over the room as each of them realized how easily such a decision could be made.

Utahime's face fell, her earlier anger fading into worry. "Do you really think they'd go that far?" Her voice was barely a whisper, a mix of horror and disbelief.

Shoko nodded slowly, her eyes steady but somber. "They would weigh which sibling poses a bigger threat. And if they see Saori as destabilizing things, they could target her. Or worse... they might see both her and Satoru as threats and attempt to take them both out."

At that, Megumi's face tightened, though he kept his expression as neutral as possible. Still, a flicker of unease passed through his eyes. The thought of Saori, and even Satoru, being at risk because of things they couldn't control filled him with a quiet dread. He swallowed, processing the implications in silence, the weight settling heavily in his chest. Though he didn't say anything, the worry for Saori, layered with his own guilt and frustration, was evident in his clenched fists.

Utahime sighed, leaning against the wall and crossing her arms. "Still... I wish Satoru would've told us, trusted us enough to let us in. Maybe if he did, we could've figured out a solution together."

Maki huffed, a slight smirk on her face despite the gravity of the situation. "Come on, this is Gojo we're talking about. Since when has he ever been one to share?" She glanced at Utahime knowingly. "Especially with something this personal."

Utahime gave her a weary look, knowing Maki was right but still frustrated. "Even so, this is bigger than him, bigger than any one of us."

A beat of silence passed before Yuji raised his hand tentatively, his face serious. "Saori... she keeps blaming herself for everything that's happened. She keeps saying she doesn't belong here, that everything would be better if she didn't exist." He glanced around, his eyes earnest. "But... what if it's the opposite?"

They looked at him, waiting, and Yuji continued, his voice growing more thoughtful. "Gojo-sensei was the one who died, right? That was his fate. If Saori hadn't... you know... brought him back, then maybe none of this would've happened. Do you think he realized that, too? That maybe her being here wasn't some mistake or imbalance, but something that was always meant to be?"

For a moment, everyone was silent, absorbing Yuji's words. Maki glanced at him with a raised brow, surprised by the insight. Utahime looked pensive, as though his idea was starting to make sense. Even Megumi seemed affected, a faint flicker of understanding softening his tense features.

Shoko sighed, a faint smile tugging at her lips. "For once, Yuji... you might be onto something."

The room fell quiet again as they all turned the idea over in their minds, each of them considering the possibility that Saori wasn't a mistake, that her very presence might be the key to restoring balance rather than a disruption to it.
