After settling into the cozy BBQ restaurant that Engfa had picked, she and Victoria savored the meal at a leisurely pace. But Engfa's mind was far from relaxed, her curiosity simmering over the threat letter Victoria had received earlier.

Between bites, Engfa broke the silence. "Victoria..."

Victoria barely glanced at her, more focused on her food.

"What was that letter sent to your condo?" Engfa pressed.

Victoria shrugged casually. "Just another threat. Happens all the time. You know, people like us can't really escape things like that."

Engfa nodded, slowly digesting her words. "But you said it surprised you that it was sent to Thailand?"

Victoria paused, placing her chopsticks down as she crossed her arms. "Exactly. I've gotten these kinds of letters before-at my mansion in London. But outside of that? Never. This is the first time."

Engfa's mind raced. She needed to get her hands on that letter. Tina would know exactly what to do.

Victoria's voice cut through her thoughts. "I'm sure you've dealt with threats like this too, right? I'd be shocked if you haven't, Engfa." There was a playful grin tugging at her lips.

Engfa held her gaze for a moment. Oh, she had, and much worse than just letters. Direct attacks, ambushes-you name it. Back in her days as Voss, every step felt like a dance with danger.

"Of course. Maybe worse than a simple letter," she replied, her tone cool and collected.

Victoria nodded knowingly, then switched gears. "About our postponed meeting... I think it would be smart to reschedule everything after Warsaw."

Engfa gave a thoughtful nod. "That's probably for the best. You'll need to handle today's threat anyway."

Victoria picked up her napkin, wiping her mouth before taking a sip of water. "Honestly, I don't know how efficient the Thai police are. Even the British cops couldn't crack this one. Same kind of letter, same dead end."

Leaning in, Engfa's voice dropped slightly, carrying an edge of seriousness. "If the police don't get results, you'll need a different approach to figure out who's behind this."

For a moment, Victoria was silent, her eyes narrowing as she weighed Engfa's words. She knew what Engfa was hinting at-Engfa had other methods, more effective ones. "What exactly are you suggesting, Miss Waraha? If you've got an alternative, now's the time to share."

A faint smile tugged at Engfa's lips. "Let's just say I have my own ways when it comes to protecting myself. If you want, I can help you handle this."

Victoria's gaze lingered on Engfa, considering the offer. Engfa was no stranger to danger, and her help could bring them closer-both in business and trust. Slowly, Victoria took out her phone and handed it to Engfa, her eyes glinting with unspoken understanding.

Engfa raised an eyebrow, intrigued.

"We'll need to discuss this in more detail," Victoria said, nodding toward the phone.

Engfa took the phone, inputting her number without hesitation. "Naturally."

With that, the conversation seamlessly shifted back to business-Warsaw, their partnership, and the promising alliance that lay ahead.
