Soobin sat at his desk, surrounded by the familiar hum of conversation and laughter echoing through the classroom. Yet, despite the lively atmosphere, a heavy weight rested on his shoulders, pulling him into a deeper solitude. He absentmindedly tapped his pencil against the desk, its rhythmic sound contrasting sharply with the whirlwind of thoughts swirling in his mind.

Every glance at his classmates—a sea of confident smiles and effortless camaraderie—only intensified the sense of inadequacy that gnawed at him. The unspoken expectation to excel, to be the leader everyone admired, pressed down on him like a suffocating blanket. It was a role he had willingly accepted, but now it felt more like a burden.

He could almost hear the voices in his head, echoing phrases like "You have to do better" and "Everyone is counting on you." Each time a teacher praised him or his friends looked to him for guidance, a shadow flickered at the edges of his mind, whispering that he was one misstep away from disappointing them all. His heart raced at the thought, the fear of failure curling around him like vines, tightening their grip with every breath.

Soobin glanced at his notes, a jumble of half-formed ideas and frantic scribbles, and a sense of dread washed over him. He felt the urge to tear the pages out, to erase the evidence of his struggle.

Soobin shifted in his seat, feeling the weight of a hundred eyes on him. His fingers tightened around the pencil, grounding him even as anxiety surged. Laughter erupted from a group at the front, their joy starkly contrasting with his internal turmoil. He felt trapped behind an invisible barrier, paralyzed by the fear of not measuring up to everyone's expectations.

The clock ticked slowly, each second stretching into eternity. What did he truly want? The question echoed in his mind, lost among obligations. As the bell rang, signaling the end of class, he felt a hollow pit in his stomach, aware that he was just one misstep away from failure.

How is he going to satisfy everyone?
