"Whoa, careful there!" Beomgyu says, grabbing my hand just in time to stop me from falling headfirst down the stairs. If it wasn't for him, I'd probably be rolling down to my untimely demise right about now.
Hueningkai glances up from the bottom of the stairs, already facepalming at the scene unfolding above him. Without a word, he just turns and heads toward his bike, leaving me hanging. Typical.
I quickly scramble back onto my feet and let out a relieved sigh. "You've gotten clumsier." Beomgyu comments, throwing his arm casually over my shoulder as we continue down what I now dub The death stairs.
"Ugh, tell me about it." I groan as we both hop down the last few steps with a thud, making our way over to the cycle stand where Hueningkai is already perched on his bike, looking completely unbothered by life.
"Yesterday, I was helping Mihi cut some tomatoes and look what I did to myself." I raise my hand, showing off my bandaged index finger like it's a battle scar.
Beomgyu lets out a small snicker. "How do you manage to hurt yourself doing the most normal things?"
"Talent." I deadpan, rolling my eyes.
Beomgyu just chuckles as he unlocks his bike and pulling it out of the stand. "You're not getting your bike?" Hueningkai asks, raising an eyebrow at me.
I sheepishly scratch my head, a small smile creeping onto my face. "Uhh"
Beomgyu looks at me, confused. "Huh?"
I slowly turn my head back, making them follow my gaze to the almost broken cycle sitting in the corner, looking more like a sad sculpture than a functioning bike. "Oh my god..." Hueningkai gasps, covering his mouth in disbelief. "What the hell did you do to that poor thing?"
His words hit me like a wave, and suddenly, I'm flooded with the tragic memories from yesterday.

"Watch out, watch out-WATCH OUT!"
I shouted as a white cat suddenly leaped into the middle of the road, its little paws moving like a blur. My heart raced, and I jerked the handlebars, trying to avoid the furry creature. The bike skidded, wheels screeching against the pavement, and for a brief moment, everything felt like it was happening in slow motion.
