I stopped breathing for a while when my eyes landed on him. He was worn out. Hair in the messiest state. The shirt was dishevelled as if it was once neatly tucked, and I couldn't see his face.

“Bhabhi”, Aashu's loud voice landed in my ears, breaking my trance, and now everyone looked at me. But I was looking at him.

Our eyes met. The second change in his posture was evident. The softened eyes and the leaned shoulders made me vulnerable, and I wanted to hold on to tell him that everything's gonna be okay.

His eyes were tired. It felt how much responsibility we took on his shoulders. The lines on his forehead were screaming how stressed he was but

“Where the fuck are you? I'm half dead in the process of reaching you.” I yelled at her but the line was silent.

“Shreyu.” Her this voice shook my core. She is never like this. Ahana is never like this.

“What happened?” My heartbeat rose. Panic settled in me and fuck my gut. It knew something was damn wrong.
