Previously on..
We're Not Dead Yet, Right?
"Fill me in when I get back, I gotta use the restroom," Aiden said, getting out of his seat.
I nodded, then turned back to Ashlyn. "We can't take a taxi nor Uber, because for all we know, Maverick could have put us out as notorious criminals that escaped jail or some shit."
Ashlyn nodded, but before she could respond, Tyler got up. "I also have to use the restroom."

I yawned, head on Taylor's shoulder. My eyes fluttered closed. I heard footsteps, and then someone sat down by me. When they moved my head to their shoulder, I knew it was Tyler. I opened my eyes enough to peer at Tyler. "What took you guys so long? I almost fell asleep."
Aiden, brown eyes staring at me, grinned. "Tyler had diarrhea."
"I did not," Tyler snapped. Everyone laughed, and I just closed my eyes again. I pulled my hat a bit farther down, covering my face.
☽Aiden POV☾
God, she was so adorable. She just didn't know it. Her being half asleep because she kept waking up last night didn't help.
"So, you think healing is tied to how fast we emotionally recover from the injury?" Ashlyn asked after Tyler and I (mostly Tyler) told them what we talked about in the bathroom.
My mind was somewhere else.
Why couldn't I always get to sit by Thaylor? Why did she always sit by her triplets? Maybe if I sat by her... she wouldn't move away? Nah, she doesn't like me that way.
Taylor nodded, and I looked over to see her catching my stare at Thaylor. I felt my face heat up, and looked at my empty plate as she talked. "I guess that would make sense. It might explain why we felt a lot better after sleeping and eating in the phantom dimension as well. Mental recovery and all that."
"How long have you guys been having those dreams?" Logan asked.
"Pretty much since after we died," I said with my normal grin, my gaze back on Thaylor, who sighed as we talked about the nightmares, lifting her hat. Our gazes met. Shit.
"And you didn't think to tell anyone?" Taylor asked, staring at Tyler, Thaylor, and I like we had three heads.
Thaylor, blinking the sleep away, only stared back. "Not really...?"
I rested my chin in my hand, shifting my gaze to Taylor. "I mean, isn't it normal to have nightmares after something like that?"
Thaylor nodded, and I saw her looking at me as well. Probably because I was talking.
Ashlyn, from beside me, looked up. "Yeah... but if you're both having them, and I'm also-"
Cop sirens.
My head shot up, only to see police cars outside the building. I relaxed. Not the government freaks.
"Wonder what happened out there?"
"Maybe someone was speeding?"
I grinned. "If we're doing bets on it, I call dibs on drugs."
"Dibs times two!" Thaylor joked.
"I say they rear-ended someone," Tyler said after giving Thay a stern look.
Two taps on the table made me look over, only for Ben to be signing: Where employees?
We all looked back at the front desk, only to see it empty. When had they left? Ha, imagine if the cops were here for us.
Ashlyn's brows furrowed, and she lightly pushed me out of the booth. "Let's leave," she said. "I'm getting a bad feeling."
Tyler picked up Thay, despite her complaints. He set her down, and put her backpack on her back. We all slipped ours on.
The doors slammed open.
Cops with tasers in their hands walked in.
"DON'T MOVE! EVERYONE, HANDS UP!"
I instinctively moved over to Thaylor as we all put our hands up. Ashlyn lowered her head a bit. "What's this about?"
"Ashlyn Banner, Aiden Clark, Ben Clark, Taylor Hernandez, Tyler Hernandez, Logan Fields," started the black-haired one. "All of you kids are to be detained and are classified as dangerous. We will use physical force if you do not comply, and if necessary, lethal force."
I glanced at Thaylor, who was watching Ashlyn and Ben exchange a look. To my dismay, Ben put his wrist out, and the metal cuff linked around. But there was never a click. Instead, there was a yell as Ben drove a fork into the cop's arm. I saw Thaylor flinch, but then we all attacked. One cop was shoved into the glass, someone threw a plate at a cop's face, and I tackled one, glad to be moving again. "Thay, Ashlyn, there's a window in the bathroom and a backdoor in their office room thing!"
Thay nodded. "Alright, we'll-"
Thaylor stopped talking when a loud zap was heard, Ashlyn's whole body collapsing. Thaylor dropped next to her, eyes wide as she tried to get her back up.

Although, I'd see "SHIT" as well.
Welp. That was about a whole episode. I would add another like I used to, but I can barely write one 😭
I want to try and write short ones like these every other day. You'd get more updates, but they'd be shorter. Or do you want longer updates every like... week? Choose :D
Follow me if you want to be notified when I put a new part out. Uhm.. vote, comment, all that jazz. It reminds me this exists :D
Oh shit I have a quiz in Spanish tomorrow.
