Hernandez leans forward and the closer he gets, the darker his green orbs get.
The door flies open and we turn to see Callie. I look at her and there's no way I can escape the look of betrayal she's giving me right now.
"You're back", I say and she walks to the table with a demeanor I can't decipher.
"I have to go", she says not sparing us a glance as she picks up her bag. "My dad must be panicking already".
"Oh um, I guess this brings us to the end of the yacht club-",
"No", she abruptly cuts me off, "I'm sure you want to stay anyways", she says staring me down before looking at Hernandez with a warmer glance.
"Oh, I guess we have to turn the boat around then", Hernandez says and she nods.
"Okay, you guys can just wait here. Be back in a minute", he says and I bite down on my lip as I watch him walk out, probably to tell the captain to turn the yacht around.
Why does he have to leave now?
I painfully turn to Callie and of course she ignores me, awkwardly clenching the hand of her bag as she holds it down on her knees.
"I..", I start but then I can't seem to find the words to finish.
"It was just one thing I asked Abby and I leave just for you to start getting intimate", she says and I'm taken a back. Intimate? Our lips didn't even touch.
"We didn't even kiss", I argue
"But you wanted to", she fires back and I don't know if I can boldly disagree with that.
She scoffs with a shake of her head before walking out. I sigh, my eyes averting to the macarons on the table. This is not the time Abby!.
I walk out of the room but walk back in to finish my strawberry yogurt. Mum always said it was rude not to finish your food.
I wipe my mouth with the back of my mouth as I step outside. I take the steps down and make it to the main deck.
The yacht was already turning back to the docs and Callie and Hernandez stood side by side now. Should I give them a small bonding time?.
The answer is no but not on my accord though because Hernandez looks behind and his eyes light up when he sees me.
"Hey Ginger", he says and I notice my muffin basket behind him.
"Oh I totally forgot about..", I trail walking closer to the table where it's being placed on, "These..", I say as I look down at the empty basket.
"Wha-", I cut myself short turning to Hernandez and he scratches the back of his head. Well I guess we all know what that means.
"You ate them all?", I ask, still going ahead to question even if I know the answer fully well.
"Hey in my defense you guys took a really long time to get here", he says with a shrug and I sigh at him. Well at least I got to eat something sugary.
"They were delicious by the way",
"No shit", I say and he smiles.
I hear a sigh so I turn to her direction. Crossed armed with an expression that read, 'can't wait to leave this place' plastered on her face.
"She must be really bummed about leaving the yacht club early", Hernandez whispers in my ear and it gives me a tickling sensation so I giggle a bit moving away. My reaction gets a chuckle from him and I can't curse at myself more when I remember Callie's still here.
