When Jason's lance broke, that's when I knew we were fucked.

The battle seemed to have started well enough. Jason and Kiera were fighting Enceladus together, and at one point, I thought Gaea had risen. Turns out it was just Kiera in her badassery.

She raised her arms while grinning, and water rose behind her. She was fighting with insane speed and stamina, switching to and from her powers.

Apparently she decided Jason didn't need anymore babysitting, so she helped me deal with the last two Earthborn. That trick with throwing the ring? Brilliant. 

Jason stabbed Enceladus in the ankle, to which he responded by blasting him with fire. Jason scrambled away, rolling behind the giant, and struck again behind his knee.

Kiera went back to fighting with Jason, but I could tell she was getting tired. Her presicion was off, and she didn't seem to have an idea where this was heading. 

Piper climbed back up the mountain, a few more Earthborn had risen from the ground, so I paid attention to that instead.

I found another construction machine, a cherry picker that could lift hundreds if not thousands of pounds.

Piper drew her dagger and charged three Earthborn at once, and took them down easily.

I twisted the hook as one monster charged me, and I pressed the lever to lift the arm. Quickly, the Earthborn was suspended by his loincloth, and Piper stabbed him in the back.

"Nice, beauty queen," I grinned.

She rolled her eyes before slashing at another Earthborn. "I said to stop calling me that."

"You never like what I call you." I reasoned, piercing one with the hook.

I herd a yelp of surprise and saw a shape hurtling at me.

"Oh shit," I said before jumping out of the cherry picker.

BANG!

"Ow," A voice groaned. I looked around the machine and saw Kiera face first on the dirt.

I stared at her. She didn't seem to notice I was there till she got up.

"Oh, hey, Leo," She winced. "That's my bad."

"KIERA JACKSON!" Jason shouted. "GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE!"

"Finally, he learned to swear," She mumbled before taking off her ring and tossing the gun to me. "You've got twenty-six shots left. Use 'em wisely."

And with that powerful information, she ran off to join the fight again.

Shooting the handgun was much easier than trying to fight with a piece of construction equipment.

"Leo, behind you!" Piper yelled.

I spun around and shot the charging Earthborn, who looked at the gaping hole in his chest and said, "aw." Before turning to a clay puddle.

I heard a blast of fire and surveyed the area. Jason was on the ground as Kiera was frantically trying to distract the giant. Enceladus seemed to realize he could kill one of his attackers at that moment, and went to blast Jason, but the ground shook and threw him off balance.

Using that time, Kiera sprinted over to Jason, who was struggling to get up. She grabbed him with one arm and didn't notice Enceladus getting up behind her. He poised his spear at her, and jabbed.

CRUNCH!—Kiera frowned and turned around.

Enceladus's spear had been crushed—like a hydraulic press had squished the front till about half-way down.
