Kiera

I didn't fully relax until the glow of Quebec City faded behind us.

Jason said something to Piper, which I didn't listen to. I was too tired to feel the need to eavesdrop.

Leo squeezed my side and I looked over my shoulder at him.

"You should get some sleep," Leo said.

I shook my head. "I'll get time later."

"Hmph." Leo huffed. "At least eat something."

He offered me the jar of pickles from my backpack that I had taken from camp's store. It was already opened and ready.

"Thanks, Leo," I said, stuffing a pickle slice in my mouth.

"No problem, Querida." Leo grinned at me.

"What's that mean?" I asked.

"I'll tell you when you tell me what Tesoro means."

"Fuck off." I mumbled, eating more pickles.

He passed Piper and Jason two veggie sandwiches from my backpack before eating his own. He finished his quicker than I ate my jar, so he wrapped his arms around me while I finished eating.

"Oo!" Leo gasped. "You've got Skittles!"

"No those are mine!" I turned quickly, keeping him from eating my candy. "It's not for you, biggie!"

He snagged them from my pocket and I tried to turn back to him, but it only resulted in dropping a pickle.

"NO!" I screamed.

Piper and Jason's heads snapped up and they quickly looked around us.

"What?!" Jason said, bringing out his golden coin.

"Leo made me drop my pickle!" I sobbed. 

Piper ran a hand over her face. "Oh my god, Kiera."

Leo laughed from behind me as he tore open my Skittles packet. They were the sour kind, too. The best.

I reached back to grab them from him, but my leg slipped out of the hold on Festus, and I almost fell out of my seat. I yelped and grabbed onto one of Leo's shoulders and one of his thighs.

He grinned at me as he popped a green Skittle into his mouth.

"Give it back, Valdez!" I tried reaching up again, but I almost slipped of the side of my dragon.

"Leo," Piper sighed. "Give Kiera her Skittles back before she falls off, or before she kills you."

"Fine." Leo grumbled as he handed me my candy back.

Before I turned back in my seat, I slapped the back of his head.

"Will you stop doing that!?" Leo rubbed his head.

I stuck my tongue out at him before I faced forward again.

Leo put his chin on my shoulder and would open his mouth every so often. I would give him the orange ones, since nobody liked those.

Eventually, the inevitable happened.

I dropped a Skittle.

"No!" I whined. "That was a green one, too!"

"What if a bird chokes on it?" Jason asked.

"Then he'll taste the rainbow as he goes out," I mumbled just loud enough for them to hear.

I dug through my remaining Skittles as the others broke out into laughter. Just as I grabbed the  last Skittle, Leo snagged it form my fingers and popped it into his mouth.
