Al followed Molly over to the projection of his mom. She looked beautiful and kind, but stress seemed to be weighing on her about the conflicts. Molly made her way in front of the projection to address her.

"Miss Hartfelt? What is it?"

"Lute has gone rouge from Heaven, so she may attack any minute now. You must be ready to fight at all times. I had finally had a proper talk with Sera and after a few meetings managed to convince her to stop the extermination for three years, and if the results of the hotel aren't satisfactory she will resume them."

Sera really agreed to do that? But then why was I exiled? If Sera was still open to talking about it she wouldn't have-LUTE! Of course she would need to get rid of me to have a chance at convincing others to rally behind her!

Al went up to the projection and stood beside Molly.

"Mother? Is that really you up there?"

Al's mom seemed to freeze for a moment, as if moving would cause Al to shatter away into nothingness.

"Al my boy? Are you really down there?"

Al started to shed some tears from the joy of hearing her recognize him.

"Oh I'm doing just fine down here ma, though I must say I do miss your cooking."

Al's mom also started to cry as a large smile spread across her face.

"Maybe I can have someone bring you down some jambalaya some time."

Molly was smiling at the reunion, but was then pushed aside by Angel who seemed like he could barely keep himself from laughing.

"Hey Al's mom! One thing you should know, Al fucked Emily!"

Angel immediately bolted after he said it to try to escape Al. Husk grabbed him and flew out of an open window.

"YOU'RE GOING TO GET YOURSELF KILLED LEGS!"

There was silence in the room as Al's mom stared at him, and him at the floor.

"Is it true?"

"Y-yes mother."

"Are you two at least engaged?"

Al looked at me for confirmation, and I nod.

"Yes mother."

Al's mother let out a long sigh. and then took a closer look at Al.

"You're a deer demon..? Were you in your rut?"

Al seemed rather embarrassed to be having this conversation with his mother the first time he's seen her in so many years.

"Yes."

"Well then I'll let it go this time, but nothing else until you marry her properly. Got it Al?"

"Of course mother."

I heard a snicker and turned to see Lucifer trying his hardest to not laugh as Lilith glared at him as she scolded him quietly.

"Stop acting like a child!"

"I'm sorry, but this is gold!"

I turn back to Al who is now talking to his mother about how things are going for her in Heaven. Apparently she ran a little restaurant up there. I made a mental note to take Al there some time as a surprise.

After a while Molly apologized to Al and took control of the conversation again.

"Do we know if the exorcists have gained any numbers before Lute went rouge?"
