The limousine was quite lavish even by Heavens standards. I honestly expected it to be trashed by some previous occupant, but it was spotless.

"So where are we heading?"

"I suppose you wouldn't have heard of it since it's down here, it's a little place called New Eden. Apparently Lucifer had a hand it how it came about so it is quite lavish and a respectable establishment."

New Eden? Seriously Lucifer? I thought he was all about being creative and that's what he calls it?

The limousine comes to a stop and Richter exits before opening my door for me.

"Look who's being a gentleman."

"Since when am I not? And don't say drunk or hungover, those don't count."

"Well then I suppose you are quite the gentleman."

He seemed to take pride in the compliment. He took my hand and guided me to the door where security stopped him.

"Name?"

"Richter, Richter Durchdenwald. Lucifer did give me his approval personally."

The guard nods as he shifts through a few note cards from his coat pocket.

"Alright then Mr. Durchdenwald, everything seems to be in order. Have a lovely evening tonight, and please try not to upset any other guests or you will find yourselves removed for the premises."

Richter nodded as we made our way inside. I noticed a rather large stage in the middle of the dining area. It seemed to be split into five sections along with the rest of the room. Some kind of sound proofing magic barriers were also in place between each of the different parts, but no actual physical barrier of any kind.

"It's certainly a unique design."

"It's to keep people from having to sing over each other. You can have five different songs and if you don't like one, just move to the other section. That is unless your in the middle of eating, then you might as well just wait it out."

"Singing? Do they have performers here?"

"Yes and no. While they do have some hired singers, usual the patrons sing. Lucifer loved the creativity you could find in the crowds and Lilith loved songs so tadah! Welcome to New Eden."

Perhaps I should have given Lucifer more credit, this is certainly something interesting.

Richter and I find a table near the stage, but far enough away that it wasn't too loud. A waiter came by and handed us a couple menus.

"anything to drink for the two of you?"

Richter looked at the waiter with a strange look in his eye, and pretty soon the waiter took a closer look at him before smiling.

"Is that you Richter? Haven't seen you since you got taken by that SS battalion back in '43! How are you doing these days?"

"Hermann you crazy son of a bitch. I've been good, how did you die if I may ask?"

"Artillery shell straight through the chest. I would show you but I like having this job and they're pretty strict here. So any drinks old friend?"

"How about some Riesling if it's available?"

"Everything is available for you, but i guess that won't get me anywhere anymore huh?"

The waiter gestured in my direction.

"It wouldn't have even before and you know why."

The waiter sighs, "You still holding a grudge for that one?"
