So, we will be getting a new prince or princess of Hell soon. The thought of it is rather intriguing.

After Lucifer left we no longer had any reason to stick around. Sera still had a couple mountains of paperwork to get through as well so we decided to head to the park early since we were already out and about.

The park it self was rather lovely. The pristine water of the flowing creek was stunningly pure, but the unnatural uniformity of the grass and flowers was a little unnerving.

"Is it usually so...the word escapes me but I'm sure you understand what I am getting at mother."

"Yes, I know what you mean. It does feel very unnatural with how they keep it constantly trimmed up. I wish they had a section where they just let it grow wildly."

Emily glanced at us with confusion.

"But wouldn't that allow weeds to take root? And the plants would start to overlap and cover each other from view."

I give her a smile, "But that is the beauty of nature. It's so chaotic and yet that is its order."

It probably sounds like nonsense to someone who is used to such artificially modeled gardens, but I do prefer the wild attitude of nature.

We continue our walk as we chat about a few of the different flowers that catch our eyes and about our plans about when we get back down. Apparently my mother was having to take over some of the duties that would normally be handled by high ranking angels, but they will still be too busy for some time.

"It seems we may have exhausted the park of it's intrigue for now. Perhaps you would like to check out that radio shop we passed by earlier? You might even make a friend."

A friend? I have enough of those for one afterlife thank you very much. Though the thought of checking out the shop is a rather tempting idea.

"I think it would be nice to take a look at their selection. I may even be able to grab myself a souvenir for when i go back down."

We start to make our way to the shop when we here someone shouting behind us.

"You demonic shit bag!"

I turn just in time to see a random asshole plunge an angelic dagger right into my chest. I grab one of his arms and use my other hand to throttle him until he releases his grip on the dagger and I then throw him across the street and into a café on the other side.

"That crazy bastard stabbed me!"

I fall to a knee as I try to steady my breathing Emily was quickly trying to tend to my wound as my mother crossed the street to where my assailant had landed.

"You listen to me you holier than thou little shit! No one will ever lay a finger on my son again!"

Guessing by the sounds that followed, I think I may have found where I got my skills at the more refined side of torture. Emily seemed to be looking in her direction with worry.

"You alright there little dove?"

"Not really, you did just get stabbed after all! Also I don't want your mother getting in trouble for what's happening!"

I place a hand on her shoulder and offer a soft smile.

"It'll be okay. What's the worst they can do now? Send us home? With visitation rights?"

She seems to calm down a bit after realizing just how little the worst case scenario would actually affect us.

"I suppose you are right, but hold still. I might need help to properly care for you."
