EXT: Playground 12:45 Thu

(Daniel, Harvey, Fiona, Gary, Darren, Toby, Henry)

Daniel: Harves, have you seen Frankie?

Harvey: No, not since the riot, why?

Daniel: Vapes burn out innit. Need a new one.

Harvey: Here, I've got two. Use that for now.

Harvey passes Daniel a vape. The camera moves across to the entrance of the playground, where Gary has just gotten back.

Fiona: Finally gracing us with your presence, are you? Because I don't know if you've noticed, our building is covered in paint. You have a big job for once lunchtime is over.

Gary: Alright, calm down, I'll get to it. I just had something I had to do.

Fiona: And what was so important, hey?

Gary: I don't need this, right now.

Fiona: Fine. You can finish today and come back next week feeling fresh.

Gary: What about tomorrow? I assume you want all that gone before it's dry?

Fiona: Fine. But if you're not in good form tomorrow, you'll be out. Capiche?

Gary: Capiche.

The camera focus shifts again to the road outside the playground, where two cars are going in opposite directions on the thin road. One slows down, the other speeds up, resulting in a thunderous crash.

Gary: Oh my god, that's my brother's car! Darren!

Gary runs towards the fiery wreck, but there's a bang as it worsens.

Gary: Someone do something!

Seen escaping the wreck is a man with a toddler, the man seems in tears, staring at his wife's lifeless body as he backs away. No one leaves the other car. Enter Henry, and Gary hugs Darren and Toby tight.

Darren: Hope...

Henry: That's.. that's Leanne's car. And she did sound drunk when she phoned me earlier. Oh god no! No!

Fiona: Students, inside! Now!

The students flock inside. Left outside are Gary, Harvey, Darren, Toby, Fiona, and Henry.

Fiona: Gary, go home with your family, don't come back until you feel like you can.

Exit Gary, Harvey, Darren, and Toby.

Fiona: Henry, can you call emergency services, I need to phone Waylon.
