(Marryann, Leanne, Maisey, Chloe, Frankie, Gary)

Maryann: Sorry, Ms. Thorpe, it won't happen again.

Leanne: Let's make sure of it.

Exit Leanne

Maryann: Are you mental? You could have got yourself kicked out! You could have got Ryan kicked out too! And even worse, you don't even care! You don't care about anyone but yourself, that's why you went, to run away from punishment!

Maisey: Alright, mum! You can calm down. If the situation's that much hassle, I'll sort it.

Maryann: Good! As you should do!

Enter Frankie.

Frankie: Look, I'm sorry for going at Ryan, but bringing a knife to a fist fight? I can get the police involved over this!

Maisey: Who said I had a knife?

Enter Chloe.

Chloe: Sorry, Maze. It was only the right thing to do.

Maisey: Get out of my sight. NOW!

Frankie: She doesn't have to if she doesn't want.

Maisey: That means you as well.

Maryann: Maisey, love, calm down, please.

Exit Maisey.

Maryann: Both of you go back to lesson, please.

Exit Frankie and Chloe. Enter Gary.

Gary: Y'alright, Mazza?

Maryann: No, I'm not. Did you hear about that fight yesterday?

Gary: Yeah, why?

Maryann: Our Maisey only took a knife with her. That's what them two girls were saying anyway, Frankie and, what's her face, Chloe?

Gary: God, Mazza, I'm sorry to hear about that.

Maryann: Where did I go wrong?

Gary: Hey. You did nothing wrong. With parenting, we're all just amateurs trying to get the job right. If anything, blame the man who left you to cope alone. I mean, think about it. We're both in the same boat on that one.

Maryann: Yeah, but when was the last time your Harvey got into a fight, let alone brought a knife to one?

Gary: That's not to say he's perfect. Like, last week he was with that Daniel in year 12 smoking weed on a park bench.

Maryann: Thanks, Gary. I needed that little pep talk.

Gary: Yeah. It's alright. Right, I'd best be off so, a faulty radiator on the maths corridor.
