INT: Assembly Hall 08:45  Tue

(All Staff and Students bar Barry, Ofsted Inspectors)

Kate: So, in light of recent events, for today's assembly we have an organisation who has come to speak to you all about driving safely, both staff and students. If you have any questions afterwards, ask myself or Mr. Moores. So, here to speak to you is-

Harvey: Are you having a laugh? The crash happened literally five days ago, we haven't even had my auntie's funeral yet, and you're sat here making an example of it? Auntie Hope wasnt just a number, and neither was Ms. Thorpe. You should be ashamed of yourself, and so should Mr. Newall.

Exit Harvey, and a few other students, including Daniel, Maisey, Max, Tyler, Frankie, Noah, and Nyla.

Kate: Does anyone else have any ridiculous objections?

Ryan: I do, but it's not ridiculous, and neither was Harvey's. Two people died. And you're making an example of them for some noble speech about dangerous driving? You're a joke. This school's a joke.

Exit Ryan, alongside Chloe, Ruby, Sadie, and Bailey, then followed by the rest of the student body.

Kate, Nathan, David, and the rest of the staff run after the students, and the scene follows them chasing the students onto the playground, where Henry stands alongside two Ofsted Inspectors.

Henry: Woah!!! What on earth are you all doing?

Harvey: We're on strike. You made an example of people who died FIVE days ago, and we won't stand for it. So we're off. See you tomorrow, sir.

Henry: Not so fast, Pearce. You're all going back into that building, and listening to our guest speakers.

Harvey: No, we're not.

Students: Here, here!

Henry: Anyone who's not inside in ten seconds gets a brand new 'trust exclusion'. That's where you go to another school for a week in their isolation unit. 10.

Some students scurry back inside.

Henry: 9

Some more students scurry back inside, including Chloe and Ruby.

Henry: 8... 7... 6...

Even more students make their way back inside, including Bailey and Sadie.

Henry: 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... Alright. You eight are all going to spend the rest of this week at another school, and I'll make sure of that. Miss Windsor, if you could take our guests back into the assembly hall with you, and I'll deal with this. Thank you.

Exit David, Nathan, Kate, and the inspectors.

Henry: You eight, my office, now.

Harvey: I'd rather spend a week in another school rather than here. It's like hell, only worse.
