(Maryann, Rosie, Gary, Darren, Henry, Charity Leaders)

Maryann: I'm surprised Barry's letting that happen. I mean, things will improve, but that must have been a shock.

Rosie: A big one. I promised Frankie Radcliffe I'll be there for her. And so did Lisa. Imagine how disappointed that girl will be when she shows up next term and neither of us are here.

Maryann: I'll look after her. And I hear my Maisey was good help on that trip.

Rosie: She was. She put all of her differences aside to help Frankie once she found out.

Maryann: I've raised her well. And not to toot my own horn, but single-handedly too.

Rosie: And you did a damn good job of it. Any word from Gary?

Maryann: Him and Darren are coming back today. And they're both here to stay.

Rosie: That's great news! What time?

Enter Gary and Darren.

Gary: Try...

Gary checks his watch,

Gary: 08:14.

Maryann: Gary!

Maryann holds Gary in a warm embrace.

Rosie: How are ya, Darren?

Darren: Not great, but coping.

Rosie: Bless ya.

Enter Henry and a few charity leaders.

Henry: And through here is our canteen. This will be your home for the morning. You have any questions, you can ask our head chef, Maryann, or much loved history teacher, Rosie. Now then,- Oh, Gary! Welcome back. How are you, Darren?

Gary: Hiya! I'll also be on hand for any questions you might have, and the two of us are also happy to help set up.

The charity leaders mumble.

Henry: Right then, I'll leave you in the capable hands of these four wonderful people.

Exit Henry.
