INT: Fiona's Office 14:00 Thu
(Waylon, Fiona, Lisa, Henry, Barry)
Waylon: Obviously, what happened today was very serious, and of course, very unfortunate. It resulted in two deaths, latest intel, and of course the school will mourn these deaths, and the events. What this also means is that the school can move on as an academy, however. We won't be moving forward with you as a headteacher, Mrs. Gardiner. I have other plans in mind than the image you have for this school. I need someone firm, who doesn't have to have the police dragged in on her first day. Goodbye, Fiona.
Fiona: Bye, then.
Exit Fiona.
Waylon: I need someone who knows the school, and could handle the position. Do you two have any suggestions?
Lisa: I personally suggest Henry takes over.
Henry: No, I like where I am now. If you want my suggestion, however, look no further than Barry Newall. He's strong, powerful, knows the governors already as teacher governor, and has already been involved in the management of the school because of that.
Waylon: Bring him up.
A few minutes later, Barry and Henry re-enter the room.
Waylon: Barry, how would you feel about a change of job?
Barry: What do you mean by that?
Waylon: I mean headteacher.
Barry: We can't leave an NQT alone in a subject.
Waylon: Which is true, but I do have an IT teacher to spare should you take the job.
Barry: I accept the opportunity then.
Waylon: Congratulations, Head. Sign here, then we'll set up an assembly.
