Barry: As you all know, this morning was severely mishandled, and SMT severely apologises. There will be an assembly at 2:30 for us to apologise to the students as well. On a separate note, I'd love for you all to meet our new head of IT, Tracey Edwards.

Tracey: Hi, everyone, that's me.

Tracey sits at the table.

Barry: Thank you, Tracey, and lastly I want to remind you all of tomorrow morning's bag search. Vapes are still on the rise and with Omar Amin still lurking the streets, I want to be secure. Thank you.

Exit Barry and Waylon.

Philip: Tracey, nice to meet you, you have some big shoes to fill. Our last head of IT ended up as our headteacher.

Tracey: Oh, aye, I've heard. At least I know he'll be passionate enough about my subject to make sure I have the right resources.

Philip: Good luck, the man only works for himself.

Elise: Philip has a point. Even when he was head of subject, he had the IT suite and I was teaching my classes in the library.

Tracey: We can't have that, it'll push people away from the subject, keep it for now but I'll make changes, don't you worry.

Elise: Sounds promising.

Tracey: It is. Your room for English, is it your own?

Elise: Yeah, why?

Tracey: Perfect.
