Finding love (an Ansel Elgort Fanfic)

I only want one last kiss

I was laying down looking at the stars that where above us. Everything was perfect I was cuddling besides him.
Ansel: " I love you Julia Foster" but then I woke up it was just a dream. But I was cuddling with someone and when I opened my eyes I saw Shawn and it made me jump out of the bed which caused me to hit my head with the coffee table.
Me: "ouch "
Shawn: "are you okay" I felt kinda embarrassed but just nodded with my hand rubbing the back of my head .
Me: " you scared me I forgot you where here"
Shawn: " You cuddled with me when you fell asleep and said I love you"
Me: "I am sorry it was just a dream"
Shawn: " it's fine but got to say you looked adorable sleeping "
Me: " thanks I guess, well I need to take a shower and get ready for class"
Shawn: " Okay guess I gotta go now and get my stuff"
Me: " I taught you didn't know the way back"
Shawn: " I don't but I will ask Logan to pick me up at Starbucks"
Me: " Okay well see you later" he picked his phone up from the floor and headed to the door.
Shawn: " see you later, maybe we can go out to eat later"
Me: "yeah that will be great" he nodded and left. I took a quick shower and put some white shorts , a red flannel shirt and white converse. Class went out fast usually and we where close to summer already. When I was walking to my dorm Shawn was outside it with two suitcases. He was wearing black jeans and a grey V neck.
Me: "how long have you've been waiting here?"
Shawn: " like two hours, I forgot to ask you at what time you where done with your classes" I walked to the door and began unlocking it and walked in leaving the door open for him to come in.
Me: "why didn't you call me?"
Shawn: " I tried but it said that your phone was no longer on service"
Me: " oh yeah I forgot I changed it sometime ago...here's my new one " I wrote in a piece of paper and gave it to him.
Shawn: "Thanks....so where do you wanna go?"
Me: " I don't know"
Shawn: " Do you know any place that sell's Chinese food?"
Me: " yeah it's kinda far thoe , so let me call a cab"
Shawn: " Okay" he sat on Stacey's bed and looked at me with a smile. I walked out to the balcony and called a cab. When I was done wih the call I just looked at all the skyscrapers that where visible from our balcony. I was thinking that I hadn't had time to be miserable which I was glad about, but it was so weird knowing it that me and Ansel weren't a thing anymore. He hadn't called this time to try and fix things , so I was guessing I will never talk to him again because he probably just didn't want to be friends. I walked back inside and Shawn was now laying on the bed.
Me: " the cab will be here in 15 minutes"
Shawn: " okay....so what do wanna do while we wait?"
Me: " I have no idea"
Shawn: " okay then lets see, lets play I spy" and we played I spy until the cab was there and we played all the way to the Chinese buffet. We followed the lady to our table and ordered our drinks.
Shawn: " So you wanna go get food?"
Me: " yeah" we stood up and grabbed our food when we where back our drinks where already on the table.
Me: " So how come your not in college or something ?"
Shawn: " well I already have my career as a singer and I am homeschooled"
Me: " Lucky ,I have always wanted to be homeschooled"
Shawn: " Not so lucky because I don't get to go the party's or stuff like that"
Me: " Hadn't thought of that" we talked and laughed for the rest of the evening until we had to go back. We went back to the dorm and just jumped to the bed.
Shawn: " So did you have a good time?"
Me: " Yes I did"
Shawn: " I am glad"
Me: " Well I am gonna take a shower" Shawn: " I need one too, I will take one when your done okay"
Me: " Okay" I took a quick shower and put some comfortable cloths on I blow dried my hair and put it in a bun. When I got out of the restroom Shawn was sitting on the edge of my bed with some of his cloths in his hands.
Shawn: " It's about time "
Me: " that was actually the quickest shower I've taken"
Shawn: " then I will be first next time okay"
Me: " okay" he smiled and went into the restroom. I grabbed my laptop and began doing and essay that was due next week. I heard Shawn singing but I needed some classical music to concentrate better so I put my headphones on and was really into it but I heard a knock on the door. I took one of my headphones off to make sure someone was knocking and someone was I walked to the door and felt a strange feeling. When I opened the door Ansel was standing there.
Ansel: " Hey can we talk" I looked back at the restroom door because I knew he will be mad if he found out Shawn was there. I looked back at him and nodded .
Ansel: " Can I come in?"
Me: " it's better if we talk out here" I walked out side and leaned against the door.
Ansel: " is someone in there"
Me: " Yeah, but what to do you wanna talk about?"
Ansel: " I just didn't like how we left things and I wanna give us a chance again, I was so so stupid for what I did and I love you so much "
Me: " Ansel I don't think that's a good idea at the time, can't we just be friends?"
Ansel: " But I love you"
Me: " I love you but, we where just not meant for each other that way and like I told you before your father might let us be friends"
Ansel: " We are meant for each other,does where just obstacles in our relationship "
Me: " Please just tell me we will be friends"
Ansel: " Okay if that's the only way I get to see you but there's one thing you need to do first"
Me: "what?"
Ansel: " give me one last kiss "
Me: " Okay" he walked closer to me and I was still leaning against the door. Our body's where so close to each other. He put one hand behind my neck and the other on my waist and pulled me closer. He leaned his head to my ear and whispered.
Ansel: " I am going to miss this and I know you are too" he looked at me then at my lips and then he crushed his lips to mine. This time I did feel something but I couldn't let that change my mine about just being friends. He pulled away slightly and just looked at me in the eyes. I could see that he was actually sorry but I couldn't be with him anymore.
Ansel: " Did that change your mind at all?" I looked down and shook my head and looked back at him.
Ansel: " At least I got to kiss you one last time but I really know it's not the last" I was about to say something but the door opened , which made me stumble but I was able to hold my balance . Shawn was standing there shirtless with only his boxers on. I looked at Ansel and there was anger in his face, he let go off me and I knew something was about to happen...
