As the show went on, Kat found herself swaying to the rhythm as Morgan performed to the small crowd of around 50 people. The intimate setting had Morgan pointing people out in the crowd and sparking conversations, making the show even more captivating.

Kat knew it was best for her to be in the back, especially since Max had no clue she was going to see the Morgan Wallen, which he probably would have wanted to come to. The more Morgan played throughout the night, the more she felt herself crumbling for him.

After his small set, Morgan stepped off the stage and behind with his face flushed from excitement and performing. It had been a two hour session of him singing songs and he nailed each one. He made his way straight to Kat, "What did you think?".

"It was incredible Morgan" she beamed as she looked at him, the thought of Max and guilt being out the window momentarily. "You really worked that crowd!".

Morgan chuckled, "Thanks! I'm doing my best, but I should have given you some lessons".

Falling into easy conversation about their favorite concerts and shows, Kat felt herself intrigued by Morgan. She had never felt the excitement she was feeling now.

"Let's go to... a field" Morgan suddenly suggested.

"A field?" she questioned as he nodded grabbing her hand and leading her to his truck.

She didn't question much but just sat silent and looked out the window during the truck ride. She recognized some of these roads but couldn't pinpoint where he was taking her.

It wasn't until they ended on FarmsGood Rd that Kat felt her eyes widen. "Morgan this is trespassing, we can't be here".

The farm was infamous for shooting people off property and it was well-known around town. People in Tennessee didn't play about their farms or barns.

"I have special access," he slightly bragged making her quirk an eyebrow up.

"How so?" Kat watched the gate go up as he pulled up to the entrance.

As they drove down the dirt road, she watched the cornfields appear and gasped at the sight. It was unheard of to ever make it past the gates yet Morgan managed.

"Godmother" Morgan casually said.

She should have known that. What did she expect?

As he pulled to the side of the field, he hopped out and opened her passenger door. Taking his hand, she jumped out the truck and followed him to the truck bed. The stars twinkled beautifully in the pitch black sky, it was out of a dream.

Morgan laid a blanket down on the truck bed and hopped up with Kat. Their bodies easily fell in place as they sat next to each other and she leaned on his shoulder. Silence filled the air as she took in the view.

"Wow" she softly spoke as she looked up. "This is beautiful".

Before Morgan could speak, Kat knew what had to be done. "Morgan... Can I ask you something?".

"Of course," he responded as he turned his head to look to her.

Kat hesitated as she wondered how to approach the topic. But she felt a sense of security with him, as if he would understand. "This may be weird but.... what do you think about relationships?".

He raised an eyebrow intrigued but stayed quiet for a moment. "They're complicated but the right ones are worth it, they'll never be complicated. Why?".

She bit her lip as she attempted to approach the answer with decency. There was no easy way to go about it. "I've been in a relationship... but last night, I began to question everything. Not because of just you but it's like, I'm in this confusing place now".
