The bar wasn't much more than a hole in the wall. But for a small bar nestled in a small town in Tennessee, there was quite a crowd. The usual locals were there but there was a line with some unfamiliar faces as well. After Max kissed her and dropped the girls off, they made their way towards the line.

"Since when did it get so crowded?" Kat leaned into Amara's ear as they scanned the line.

"Not sure," Amara shrugged, "But we aren't waiting in this".

As if on cue, Hailey grabbed their hands and walked past the line to the front as the eyes of the line followed in jealousy and disapproval. Approaching the front, Hailey stood in front of the bouncer who immediately gave her a hug, "Hailey Hail".

Amara began to laugh as Kat gave a confused look. As Hailey proceeded to give the bouncer their ID, the girls trailed into the bar.

"Who was that?" Kat asked in bewilderment.

"I met him on a night out!" Hailey laughed as she headed towards the bar for a drink.

"This is why you need to come out with us," Amara began to guilt trip Kat.

The band onstage had their usual drums, guitar, and microphones set up as the musicians did their sound check. It was live music night. And the way Kat forgot made her feel out of sorts, she used to remember these days by heart.

Hailey handed drinks and shots to Amara and Kat with a proud grin on her face. Kat traveled to a table as the girls followed behind.

"Cheers to Kat coming out!" Hailey cheered.

"Cheers!" The girls chimed before downing their green tea shots.

"Congratulations!" a voice behind them cheered making Amara laugh, Hailey choke, and Kat flush red.

Sipping on a vodka soda lime for dear help, Kat puckered her face from the taste. Before Hailey could even speak, a familiar voice rang from behind Kat.

"Kat is that you?"

Greeted by a familiar mop of brown hair, she analyzed the face in front of him until her face could put a name to the face. Bradley. The guy who could never get a hint.

"Oh hey Bradley," Kat politely greeted him, making all the girls turn their attention towards the conversation she was having.

"Y'all came too huh?"

Amara made a face of confusion, "What?".

"Some country singer had a concert around here and now his fans are here because the other bars are packed," Bradley explained.

"Who?" Hailey asked.

"Morgan Wallen"

Kat blinked, the name instantly recognizable. "Wait. Morgan Wallen?".

"Yeah he has family nearby. My parents actually know him," Bradley flexed to Kat.

Hailey and Amara practically squealed, their excitement doubling by the second... and by the alcohol.

Kat had heard his music a couple of times. She liked a few of his songs. 7 Summers and Whiskey Glasses and a few more she couldn't put the name to. His songs would randomly play and she wouldn't really skip them.

"I can't believe we didn't go," Kat sighed at Hailey and Amara.

"I'm going to McDowell's if yall want a ride," Bradley spoke.

His presence wasn't wanted in the first place but the girls looked at each other. McDowell's would be crowded but not as crowded with tourists like this.

"We would love one," Kat spoke.

Hailey's eyes widened with surprise, "Thanks".

He nodded as he made his way towards the door and the girls followed.

"You said yes?" Amara whispered to Kat, who was confidently walking out the door.

Kat shrugged, "I don't want to fight for a drink. Plus, we have karaoke night".

Hailey squealed at the words, "How could we have forgotten?!".

Karaoke night was their night. They had been banned from going on stage several times before but it never stopped them from going. Walking towards Bradley's car, the girls buckled in as Bradley turned the radio up and drove practically across the street.

Laughing and singing along to the words of a Luke Bryan song, Hailey recorded the horrendous singing. It was clear the alcohol had slightly hit.

"We should sing Whiskey Glasses," Amara suggested as they parked in front of the neon light.

The girls nodded before hopping out of the car and running from Bradley. The string lights, smell of alcohol on the floor, and the locals were all in place as if they had never left.

After grabbing their drinks and signing their names on the bottom of the list for when they were drunk, the girls made their way to the back of the bar. The music playing died down as the host spoke, "Alright who is ready for some karaoke?".
