When Kat arrived at Morgan's, he was waiting for her at the door. His expression was a mixture of concern and... something she couldn't identify. As soon as she stepped inside, Morgan engulfed his arms around her. Kat didn't try to fight it as she let herself stand still and just accept his affection.

"I told him about it. I didn't name your name" Kat faintly whispered as she felt her body give into his arms.

Morgan rubbed her back before pulling away and letting her take her shoes off before replying, "And how did it go?".

Kat felt a pang in her chest as the realization truly hit her, "I'm not sure he will ever come back. He was upset and hurt and he left".

Morgan nodded as he guided her to the couch where they both sat. Kat looked around and saw the few awards and family pictures around his home. It wasn't a celebrity home but it felt like a family home.

"I'm sorry I know this is hard" Morgan's face softened as he put his hand on hers.

Kat knew it was wrong to confide in the one man that caused all this damage. He was nothing but trouble to her. Seeking comfort from the man who caused the pain and suffering— he was dangerous. But she couldn't stop herself, he provided some comfort that was temporary but still needed and hard to find.

"I feel like I don't know what I'm doing anymore" Kat admitted to Morgan as she stared into nothing.

"Breathe. You don't need to figure everything out right now. I have you" Morgan soothingly said as he rubbed circles on her hand.

Kat looked up and as their eyes locked, there was an undeniable feeling. Her heart began to race and her palms began to sweat, there was something in the way he looked at her. She had crossed a line that was no longer there anymore but she knew it was still wrong. Nothing but trouble.

Before she could speak, Morgan leaned in and kissed her. The kiss was soft and tender but deepened as Kat craved something more — relief. All her built up emotion was being released.

As he hovered over her, one by one, the clothes began coming off. His heavy breath steaming against her skin as she couldn't help but have goosebumps with his every touch. This was relief.

The way his fingers knew her body even though he had never crossed that line before had her at his mercy. With every motion, Kat felt herself release her built up emotions. She deserved to relax. This was relief.

Before she knew it, he was whispering sweet nothings into her ears as she grasped onto his bedsheets. Her eyes rolling with each motion as she tried to steady her breath. This was very much needed.

They had crossed a line again. Was there even a line anymore?

Kat woke up in Morgan's bed to the light slowly seeping in through the curtain. Her first moments were spent recapping the events of yesterday and processing her memory. Glancing over at Morgan, his hand was draped around her waist as he slept.

What did she just do? The consequences of her actions were already obvious but now... she was a mess. She had made everything worse. Carefully, Kat slipped out of bed trying not to wake Morgan up.

Slipping on her clothes from last night, she tiptoed around his room collecting her things. This wasn't a one night stand, but it was a mistake.

As she reached the front door, her best friends flashed into her mind. They would kill to see this.

"Kat?"

Kat froze as she reached for the door knob and spun around to face Morgan, his expression filled with hurt, concern and confusion. "Where are you going?".

Kat gulped unsure of what to exactly say, "I need to go...".

Morgan walked over to her, his sweatpants clung to his body. Kat tried not to admire the view in front of her as she tried to mentally prepare for the upcoming conversation. "What's going on Kat?".

She looked up at him and stammered, "I shouldn't have done this... we shouldn't have... uh last night".

Morgan's jaw clenched, "You're saying it was a mistake?".

Kat wanted to bury herself in a hole. "I'm confused. I care about you. But I just broke it off with Max essentially... I think".

"You can't act like that didn't just happen Kat. This ain't a game. What about what we have been doing? What about us?" Morgan questioned her in frustration.

Kat didn't have any words as a response but Morgan added a heavy weighing question, "Do you regret it?".

Her mind flashed back to the steamy events of last night. The intimate touches. The words of affection she craved to hear again. "I don't regret it. I don't regret you. I'm not proud of how I'm going about this" she admitted.

Morgan ran his hand through his hair, "You need to figure this out. I can't be the other guy on the side Katrina".

Katrina. With that tears flooded down Kat's face. It had been so long since she had been called Katrina. Her a few weeks ago would have been ashamed of herself now.

Morgan's eyes softened at the sight of Kat crumbling in front of him. "Kat I-".

But with that, she turned and left the house, the morning air gently hitting her face. She had crossed another line she couldn't uncross. And now she had no idea where to go from there.
