Three long weeks of bed rest had passed, and Lucy was now 36 weeks pregnant- the safe time for twins to arrive. Angela had become an expert in catering to Lucy's every need, even accompanying her to the bathroom to prevent any unnecessary strain.

It was 4 am when Lucy suddenly bolted upright, her heart pounding. She felt the familiar sensation of liquid pooling between her thighs. With trembling hands, she shook Angela awake. "Ang,," she whispered urgently, her voice laced with fear and anticipation.

"*Is this it?*" she wondered, her mind racing. Angela's eyes snapped open, immediately alert. She felt Lucy's dampened sheets and understood instantly. "It's time," she said, her voice calm despite her racing thoughts.

She helped Lucy into a fresh nightie and called the hospital to alert them of their imminent arrival. As they made their way to the car, Angela couldn't help but feel a sense of nervous excitement. "*Our girls are coming,*" she thought, her heart swelling with love.

Once again, they were facing an uncertain future together, but this time, it was a future filled with hope- the hope of holding their healthy daughters in their arms.

Within moments of arriving at the hospital, Lucy was wheeled into the delivery suite, her contractions intensifying with each passing minute.

Angela, ever the pillar of strength, followed closely behind, her heart pounding in time with Lucy's labored breaths. As the nurses worked quickly to prepare Lucy for delivery, Angela stood by her side, holding her hand and whispering words of encouragement.

Lucy's face contorted with pain, each contraction seeming to come faster than the last. "*I can't do this,*" she whimpered, her grip on Angela's hand tightening. "*Yes, you can,*" Angela insisted, her own voice thick with emotion.

"You're the strongest person I know, Luce. Remember, our girls need you." She wiped away Lucy's tears with a tender touch, silently promising to be there for her every step of the way.

The room buzzed with activity as medical professionals moved efficiently around them.

As the doctor broke the news that there wasn't enough time for an epidural, Angela watched Lucy's face crumple in disappointment. She knew Lucy had hoped for some relief during the delivery, but they had to trust the medical team.

"*It's going to be okay,*" Angela thought, squeezing Lucy's hand firmly. "We've got this, Luce," she said, her voice steady despite the fear gnawing at her insides. The nurses moved swiftly, prepping Lucy for delivery as the doctor explained that the twins were eager to make their entrance.

Angela leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to Lucy's forehead. "Breathe, baby," she coached, trying to ease her pain. "We'll get through this together." She watched as Lucy nodded, determination etched on her face.

Angela knew Lucy was strong, stronger than anyone she'd ever met, and she believed in her ability to handle whatever came their way.

They exchanged a look of unspoken love and support as Lucy braced herself for the next contraction. Together, they faced the storm of childbirth, united in their desire to welcome their daughters safely into the world.

The midwife's encouraging voice pierced through the haze of pain, instructing Lucy to push. Angela's heart swelled with pride and fear as she watched her partner bear down, every muscle straining. "*Almost there,*" the midwife said, her tone soothing.

"*You're doing amazing.*" Angela's vision blurred with tears as she heard the doctor announce the arrival of their first daughter's head. "Keep pushing, Luce," she choked out, her own emotions threatening to overwhelm her. Lucy screamed, her face flushed with exertion, as she pushed with every ounce of strength she possessed.

Angela felt helpless- all she could do was offer words of encouragement and hope that they were enough. "*Please, please,*" she silently prayed, willing their baby girl to arrive safely. And then, in a rush of relief and joy, their first daughter was born.

The room erupted in cheers, drowning out Lucy's cries. Angela watched as the doctor handed their tiny, perfect child to a nurse, who quickly began cleaning her up. As they prepared for the second twin, Angela leaned in, kissing Lucy's sweaty forehead.

"you did it," she whispered, her voice filled with awe. Lucy smiled weakly, her eyes brimming with tears. "We did," she agreed, her voice barely audible over the sound of their daughter's cries. Together, they braced themselves for the next wave of contractions, knowing their family was almost complete.

Angela's heart clenched as Lucy's screams filled the delivery room. The pain seemed to have intensified a millionfold, and Lucy writhed in agony on the hospital bed, her knuckles white from gripping the rails. "*I can't do this,*" Lucy cried, her eyes squeezed shut.

"*Yes, you can,*" Angela insisted, her voice trembling. She felt helpless watching Lucy endure such pain, but she knew she needed to be strong for her. "*Our family is worth it,*" she reminded Lucy, her own eyes filling with tears.

"*Just one more push,*" the doctor urged, his voice firm yet gentle. Lucy took a deep breath and nodded, gathering every bit of strength left within her. She pushed with all her might, her body straining under the pressure.

Angela held her gaze, silently willing her strength. And then, just as suddenly as it had begun, it was over. Their second daughter entered the world, her cries mingling with Lucy's relieved sobs.

Angela felt a weight lift from her shoulders, replaced by an indescribable wave of love. She watched as the nurses cleaned their second baby, her heart swelling with pride and gratitude. "*We did it,*" she mouthed to Lucy, her own voice lost amidst the cacophony of emotions.

Lucy managed a weak smile, her eyes brimming with unshed tears. As they waited for the medical team to finish their checks, Angela leaned over, pressing a tender kiss to Lucy's lips. "I love you, baby i am so proud of you. You are amazing" she whispered, her voice thick with emotion.

And in that moment, they both knew they were stronger than they ever imagined.

As the doctor carefully placed their two newborn daughters on Lucy's chest, Angela felt a lump form in her throat. She watched as Lucy's tears flowed freely, her body still trembling from the exertion of delivery.

The sight of her partner holding their children for the first time was overwhelming—it was as if everything they'd been through had led them to this exact moment. The twins were perfect, their tiny features a beautiful blend of both Lucy and Angela.

"*They're here,*" Lucy whispered, her voice filled with awe and exhaustion. "*They're really here.*" Angela couldn't hold back her own tears any longer, feeling them stream down her face as she looked at the miracle they'd created together.

She reached out, her hand gently touching one of the baby's soft heads, marveling at the silky texture of their newborn hair. The love she felt for these two tiny beings was indescribable- it consumed her entire being.

As Lucy looked up at her, Angela saw her own emotions reflected in her partner's eyes. They shared a smile, their love stronger than ever. In that moment, Angela knew they'd face anything life threw their way- as long as they had each other and their precious family.
