The next afternoon Evan was on his phone yelling at Selena. "Just let me talk to her Selena!"

"No, I've already told you she doesn't want to talk, see or hear from you Evan. Just do us a favor and let her be." And with that she hangs up on him.

Evan slams the phone down. Damn it, he felt horrible, and Mila refused to talk to him. He had went over her house that morning, but her father refused to let him see her said to him it was best if he left her alone and dealt with the real problem he has.

Kristan.

So he went home calling every ten minutes trying to get Mila on the phone. Suddenly his front door starts pounding. He rushes to go answer it. When he opens the door Jared stood there, then the next thing he knew he punches him dead in the face. Evan was thrown backwards onto the ground.

"What the hell Jared?!" He yells, rubbing his jaw where a big lump was already forming on his cheek bone.

"You're a piece of Shit you know that!" Jared yells at him while standing over him, eyes filled with anger, his fists clenched tight, his nostrils flaring. Evan didn't say anything but continued rubbing his throbbing jaw.

"How could you do something like that? I thought she meant something to you! You used her like she was some ass to grab and dump the first chance you got!"

Evan's eyes flashed with anger now. "First off you don't even know what you talking about! And what about you huh?!" He got up off the ground and faced him.

"You don't talk to either one of us for weeks. You act like we became below your oh so worthy self as if we didn't even matter anymore! You act like your ashamed of us, ashamed to be our friend anymore!"

Jared went right up in his face and says calmly, "I'm not ashamed of her, Evan."

Evan slowly shakes his head at the full meaning. of Jared's words. No, he wasn't ashamed of Mila but ashamed of him. Although he had every right to be it still hit him full blast knowing his best friend, his brother, felt that way about him.

"I thought you were going to treat her with decency and respect, but I should have known better. I blame myself for this." Jared turns away from him.

"What are you saying, Jered." Evan asks him.

Jared stops and tums back around. "I'm saying I should have never told her to give you a chance. I should have just told her the truth that you're nothing but a two timing bastard." Jared's eyes filled with sadness, and he felt defeated.

He starts again to walk away as Evan watches him go. He clenched his jaw and blurted out. "Kristan''s pregnant, Jared!"

Jared slowly stops but he doesn't turn around dreading on what was coming next.

"I broke up with Mila because Kristan came to me saying she thinks she was pregnant. I didn't know what to do." Evan's throat became constricted as tears and panic threatened to choke him.

He stared at the back of Jared's head.

"When did this happened?" He asks, completely not believing on what he was hearing.

"The night of Mila's birthday party." Evan walked to a cemented bench that was on a path of grass of the apartment complex and sat down heavily and put his head in between his hands.

Jared turned and looks at him. "That was a little over two months ago." He clenches his teeth. "You're telling me you had sex with Mila's cousin the day before you asked her to be your girlfriend?"

Evan closed his eyes and felt worse with every word that Jared bit out. "I know. When I woke up that morning I was hoping it was all a bad dream. I don't even remember doing it. I had gotten really dunk."
