Amali POV

Groaning, I lay down on the floor in the small room of my apartment that I used as a closet. I was at a point in the packing process where I was a little overwhelmed with the situation.

There was so much to do and there seemed to be no end in sight. Somehow I had underestimated how much stuff and especially clothes I had.

"This will never end. Never, never, never!" I whined and covered my eyes for a moment so that I didn't have to look at the mess any longer.

"I told you, you don't have to sort anything out. We have enough space. Hell... I'd build you a bigger closet if I had to." Roman said as he easily picked me up off the floor and carried me into the living room.

He simply sat down on the couch and placed me on his lap. I sighed deeply. Just feeling his warmth was relaxing. And it distracted me perfectly.

"I know, but it's really gotten out of hand. Nobody needs that many clothes. Especially not in Florida. I'll never use half of my winter clothes again," I finally replied.

"So? You can always sort out what you haven't worn for a while and donate it. Pack everything up now. 3 or 4 more boxes won't make much difference." he said and gave me a kiss on the hair.

"My voice of reason. I guess you have a good point." I admitted as I played with the hair on the back of his neck.

"What do you say we take a break? I could get us something from that Italian restaurant at the corner that you like so much." he suggested.

"Uh, that's an excellent idea. You know how to make your girl happy! Feeding me always helps." I said before giving Ro a kiss.

"I hope that's not the only thing that makes you happy," he replied with a loud laugh.

"You make me over the moon happy! Do you think you would have managed to lure a New Yorker girl out of her city otherwise? I mean, look at this view. The perfect view of the city lights and the bridge at night. Brooklyn has always been a part of me. That's why you can be sure that I love you and you make me very happy. I don't move for just anyone.

Look at this! Look how it's just starting to snow. It's just magical. I'm going to miss that in Florida. It's a good thing we're here a lot for work," I said, looking dreamily outside.

"It's pretty now, but not when it's thawing or everything is muddy. Blah! And it's freezing cold! No, thanks." he replied as he made a face.

I couldn't help but laugh. That had probably been his intention.

"Oh I know you don't like it, my little beach boy. Sunshine State forever." I laughed.

"That's right, baby. But don't worry. Even if we don't have snow, I can promise you that our first Christmas together will still be beautiful. And who knows... maybe next year we can go skiing with the kids." Roman said, stroking my back.

"I love the idea. Even if I can't imagine seeing you on skis. However... Maybe we should go alone... You know... It's snowing outside, but it's wonderfully warm inside. We could lie down in front of the crackling fireplace with lots of blankets and... cuddle up." I replied, wiggling my eyebrows at the last part.

"Damn, baby girl! Now I regret that we didn't plan this for this year. I don't think I can wait a whole year for this," he said.

"Oh is that so? Well... maybe I just gave you the perfect idea for Valentine's Day, Sir." I replied and gave him another kiss before I went back to work.

Of course, I knew his eyes were following me, so I let my hips sway. I didn't think it was such a bad idea myself. And knowing my beloved, there was a good chance that it would actually happen.

At the end of the next day, I stood at the window and just watched the snowflakes. Mom and Dad had just left after helping us clean up. The moving truck had been on the road for a few hours at this point.

"It will be worth it. I promise." Roman suddenly breathed into my ear as his long arms slowly wrapped around me.

He rested his chin on my shoulder before pressing a small kiss to my weak spot. Sighing, I leaned against him.

"I know. I just want to remember this right here." I said and then turned in his arms.

"You are worth it. You and your munchkin. I love you and your whole crazy family." I added.

"I love you too, Amali, and the kids too. Who knows, there might be an addition one day." he replied dreamily.

"Do you have baby fever, Reigns?" I wanted to know as I couldn't stop a small smile from crossing my lips at the thought.

"Let me just say that I can well imagine a little you in our family. Or two..." Roman replied before kissing me quickly before I had a chance to say anything.
