Amali POV

Humming, I stood in the closet and braced my hands on my hips as I once again considered what to pack. I wondered if this task would ever be easy for me. When I finally finished after what felt like an eternity, I just had to get dressed for the day. But what? Roman told me that time was running out. That meant I really had to make a decision now.

I finally decided on black leather leggings and a white T-shirt with a black blazer and my new, cool sunglasses. I realized that I wouldn't be able to wear these tight clothes for much longer. So I thought I'd make the best of it while it lasted.

"Okay... I'm done." I said as I walked into the living room with a suitcase and matching handbag.

"Oh damn! My fiancée is hot! Look at you, baby girl!" Roman replied as he turned to me and looked me up and down.

"Ditto Sir. Can we get going? I can't wait to see our baby," I said.

"I can't either. And you're sure you don't want to go back home afterwards? I'd feel bad if it was too much for you." he replied as he put his hand on my hip to pull me closer to him.

"I'm doing really well. And I want to make the most of my time with you for as long as I can. In case you haven't noticed, I'm a bit clingy right now," I explained to him and then clung to the man in my life for emphasis.

Roman laughed after giving me a kiss on the head. He enjoyed it as much as I did, I was sure of it.

"And I love having you with me. Let's go then. We don't want to be late," he said and then took my suitcase and wheeled it to the door where his was already waiting.

"I'm so excited. But I hope for your sake you didn't make me twins, Mister. I'd like to start with one." I said to him as we were on our way to the doctor.

"Um... you know, it's not like I can influence that." he laughed as he grabbed my hand and pressed a kiss to the back of it.

"Yes, that's right. Too late anyway." I replied.

The drive and the wait didn't take long. Finally, it was time for the ultrasound. I could hardly hold back my grin and found it hard to concentrate on what the doctor was saying and asking.

"You can relax, Amali... It's just one little person." Ro said and winked at me while the doctor moved the probe over my stomach.

"And what a good-looking little blob it is. We've done a good job," I replied without taking my eyes off the monitor for even a second.

I gently squeezed Roman's hand. It really was. Suddenly what we had wished for was real. There really was a little being inside me.

"We did. And now I'm going to do everything I can to make you as happy as possible while you bake that perfect bun," he said and then gave me a quick kiss.

"Baking a baby and planning a wedding. Who would have thought?" I laughed before turning my attention back to the monitor and Roman did the same.

A few hours later, we arrived at the arena and stood in the ring, alone. I let my eyes wander as I took it all in. Part of me was already missing it, but another part of me was looking forward to the new challenge. Even though I knew it would be very different from the life I had and adored until now.

Roman lifted me onto the top rope in the corner before putting his arms around me. I put one around his neck before leaning down slightly to kiss him.

"I love you." I breathed against his lips.

"Oh really? How much?" he asked cheekily, with a sparkle in his eye.

"This much!" I said, spreading my arms as wide as I could.

"Not more? Because I love you this much!" he replied, pouting and spreading his long arms.

"That's not fair! Your arms are much longer than mine!" I said and pulled on his arms to bring them back to me.

"That means I've won. I love you more." he replied, chuckling.

"You can't win this argument. I love you more." I said, sticking my tongue out at him.

"How many times have we had this topic? And how many times exactly have I let you win?" he wanted to know.

"Okay... You have a point. Let's call it a draw." I replied and pressed a kiss to his nose.

"Hey, yo, wow! What are you doing Miss Amali? Are you making plans for when you get back in the game?" we heard Jimmy ask as he joined us in the ring with Jey and Uncle Pauli.

"That would be great, because I still have a score to settle with you, Big Jim. But for now, I've got work to do. A wedding needs to be planned." I replied after we greeted each other with hugs.

"Oh yes, and when is the big day? Do you have a date?" Uncle Pauli wanted to know.

"We have. In pretty much exactly one year. On the fifth of May." Roman said as he put his arm around my shoulder.

I saw his hand twitch. He wanted so much to put it on my stomach.

"A whole year? What's taking you so long?" Jimmy wanted to know, sounding suspicious.

"Because our dream location is only available then. Because we have time and because I'm pulling double duty right now," I replied.

"Huh?" asked Jey, looking just as confused as the rest.

"Oh, you know. Because of what happens when a mommy and a daddy get all lovey-dovey and hug each other tight while they both make a wish," I explained in a voice that you would use to explain things to small children.

The look on the men's faces was so priceless that neither I nor Roman could help but laugh at them.

"Is that true, Amali Mae?" Paul asked quietly with tears in his eyes.

When I saw his proud, touched face, I couldn't stop the tears either. He had the same expression on his face as Dad when we told him and Mom. He came to us and hugged us both tightly.

Suddenly the twins burst into loud cheers and jumped around before hugging us and congratulating us on the addition to the family. Well... until they started arguing with Paul about who would be the godfather of our baby.
