Roman POV

Lazily, Amali let her fingertips wander over my chest as we lay there snuggled up together, enjoying the silence.

"God, I've missed you so much. And your little cold feet under my covers." I said as I stroked her upper arm and then gave her a kiss on the forehead.

"I've missed you too. I can't sleep properly without you anymore. And not eat. Everything is harder without you." she replied and looked up at me.

"I know what you mean. What do you think? Should I order room service and then we can take a long, hot shower together?" I suggested.

"Oh that sounds heavenly! I should go and get my things and hurry back. Could you check if they have hot chocolate with marshmallows? I'm in the mood for something sweet." she replied before giving me a kiss.

"Hey, I thought I was your something sweet," I said jokingly.

"Believe me you are... my something sweet, something hot, something spicy... something that drives me crazy and my something that I love." Amali replied and emphasized each of her words with a kiss.

"That was a damn good answer, baby girl. Okay, you better hurry up. Because after everything, you've got a long night ahead of you." I said.

"I'll make it quick... I promise." she replied, gave me another kiss and then rolled out of bed to put her clothes on.

I sat up and reached for the room service menu to see what they offered.

"Any other requests besides the hot chocolate?" I wanted to know.

"Hmm... I think you know what I like." she said with a smirk.

"Oh, I do. I don't come with cheese sauce though." I laughed.

"That's too bad. I bet you'd be delicious. But I wouldn't want to burn you with it." she said, putting her hands on my thighs and stealing another kiss before hurrying out of the room to get her belongings.

Amali POV

Humming and in a much better mood, I made my way to my room. I felt so much lighter. So much so that I hadn't expected it. If I had realized how much better it would feel inside me, I would have shared it with him much sooner.

"Oh hello, Miss Stryker... Am I seeing this right? You're coming from Roman's room?" I heard a familiar voice say after a few steps.

"Hi Jimmy. Yes, we talked for a long time. But now I'm on my way to my room to-" I began.

"Nah-uh, you're not! You march your butt back to him and you'll get whatever's between you out of the way. I'm tired of putting up with his bad mood and I want to see you smile again. You fucking belong together. Get it through your stubborn heads that there's no way back. You're family, end of discussion," he scolded, putting his hands on my shoulders and just turning me around, then basically shoving me back to Roman's door.

Jimmy raised his hand and knocked. A visibly confused Ro opened the door and looked at us. Luckily he had at least put on his sweatpants.

"What's going on? I thought you wanted-" Ro began, but he didn't get very far either.

"She'll stay here in this room until you've had a proper talk. I don't want to hear any excuses," Jimmy said.

"Actually-" I started as Roman pulled me to his side.

He had his arm around me tightly as we listened to Jimmy's rant.

"Actually what? You love him, he loves you, and you can work it out. Talk. And you better work it out. I won't hesitate to tell your mother," he replied, pointing his finger back and forth between us.

"I wanted to say that I actually wanted to go to my room to get my things," I explained.

"And we've already talked about everything and made up... Twice." Roman added.

"Oh... you mean... Oh! Then... Never you mind me. Sorry." Jimmy said as he realized.

"Well... I think I should leave you two alone. Sorry again. Good night." he added before walking away with quick steps.

"I guess the family wasn't happy about our little break?" I asked as I looked up at him.

"Obviously not. He's really got the big brother demeanor down." Ro laughed.

Eventually, I headed off to get my stuff and spend the rest of the night with my boyfriend.
