Amali POV

I squeezed my eyes a little tighter shut to block out the sun's relentless rays, but there was simply no point. The light was just too bright today. Almost like my mood. Even though I had only just woken up, I somehow knew it was going to be a beautiful day.

And the feeling was intensified when an incredibly muscular arm wrapped around me. Roman pulled me close and pressed his soft lips against my neck the next moment.

"Mmmh.... good morning." I sighed as I clasped his hand in mine.

"Good morning, baby girl... Did you sleep well?" he asked in an even deeper voice than normal.

"Oh you bet I did. Too bad I have to go to the airport soon. I wouldn't mind lying here for a while longer." I replied softly.

"I know what you mean. Do you still have time for breakfast?" he wanted to know.

"That depends on what kind of breakfast you mean, Mister." I laughed.

"Naughty girl... I guess you can't get enough of me already, huh? Too bad I don't have that much time either. I have to pick up the kids later." Roman replied, sounding the slightest bit sad.

"Well... I guess that means actual breakfast. I'll tell you what, you order us something and I'll go to my room to change in the meantime." I said as I turned in his arms.

"Sounds good. What would you like?" he wanted to know as he slowly pushed a strand of hair over my bare shoulder.

"If we had more time, I would have said something I could eat off your abs, but since we're in a time crunch.... hmmm... Waffles please. Oh and a large Pumpkin spice Latte. The biggest they can make. I'll be right back." I replied before rolling out of bed a little reluctantly.

I gathered my clothes from the floor and then quickly went to the bathroom. Before I left the room, I wanted to make sure I looked at least somewhat decent. Because if we were honest, my messy hair was a clear indication of what had been going on here for most of the night.

"Oh you little jerk... what have you done?" I asked out loud as I took a closer look at myself and yanked the door open.

"What's wrong?" he asked as he laughed a little.

It was probably because of the look on my face. Something about it must have been incredibly funny. I hopped onto the bed with him and brushed my hair aside so that he could see the full extent of it.

"Look at that. You've given me a hickey. Well... several actually. Stop laughing... it's not funny." I explained and slapped him on the thigh.

"Oh come on! With the noises you made, I couldn't resist. For me, that's art. Besides, I had the feeling that you liked it more than a little." he laughed.

"Yeah, you laugh.... Wait and see... sometime when you least expect it, I'll get even. But now, order me something to eat, Mr. Reigns." I replied and then gave him a quick little peck before grabbing my purse and heading to my room.

I wanted to take a quick shower and put on some fresh clothes.

A week later, I had just arrived at the arena when I heard a familiar voice.

"Amali Mae! How are you, darling?" Uncle Pauli asked me as soon as I had passed through the security check.

"Hi Uncle Pauli! I'm doing great! And how are you? Tell me... how many times do I have to ask you to leave out my middle name?" I replied with a laugh.

"Oh, I'm doing very well too. And you know I'll only do that if you stop saying Uncle Pauli. You've tried many times and still failed every single time anyway." he said and laughed too.

"Yes... you have a fair point there." I replied as I admitted defeat.

"So tell me... How was dinner with Roman last week? Anything I need to know?" he wanted to know just as the man he was talking about appeared in front of us.

"Still as nosy as ever, eh? It was a nice evening. That's all you need to know. You don't want to turn into my mother, do you? But I know what you're getting at. I... well, actually, we're both not about to start anything new right now. If that's what you have in mind. And since I know you well, I'll tell you very clearly... don't get the idea of using anything from my private life for a story. You know that's a boundary for me," I replied.

"Hey guys... What's the topic that's got you looking so serious?" Roman suddenly asked when he joined us.

"Oh, nothing important. I just reminded Uncle Pauli of something. Do you fancy a coffee, Roman? I have to thank you for the nice dinner last week," I replied.

"I could do with a good, hot coffee right now." he said with a little smirk, knowing as well as I did that this wasn't the hot something I had in mind.
