Amali POV

I let my gaze wander over everything around me with a soft smile. It was so beautiful. Even if at the moment I still had to imagine what all the candles and fairy lights would look like later. As soon as the sun went down, you would see the true magic. With all the flowers and the pearls, the candle holders.

This glass roof over the wooden floor, with the open sides, had immediately caught my eye when we were still looking for a location for our wedding. And now, after more than a year, the time had finally come.

And all the work and preparation had already paid off. I took a deep breath as I absorbed all of this. Slowly, with my baby in my arms, I walked over to where the chairs were being set up for the ceremony. Here, too, everything was decorated with the same flowers and candles. The white carpet led up to the white arch in front of which we would become husband and wife.

"Look at that, Lilac. Isn't it breathtaking? Mommy is starting to get nervous. It's only a few more hours," I said to her while my little one chewed on her fists and listened to me intently.

"And that's why we should start doing your hair soon. You don't want to be late for your own wedding, do you?" I heard Mom ask as she suddenly came up behind us.

She put an arm around my shoulders and pulled us close before giving me a kiss on the hair.

"You're right. The photographer should be here any minute. Is Roman back with the kids?" I wanted to know.

"Oh you tell me..." she laughed right before I heard someone excitedly shout my name.

"Amali! Amali!" shouted Kingsley and Waylon as they came running across the lawn to greet us.

Jojo was a little behind her brothers, but had a similarly wide grin on her face. Lilac heard their voices and immediately looked around for her siblings. She loved the three of them so much.

Roman POV

I stood at the window in my room and looked outside at my family. I wanted so badly to go and embrace them. But apparently I wasn't allowed to. Everyone took it very seriously, even if Amali and I didn't care. The groom and the bride were not allowed to be in the same room before the ceremony.

And so I had to be satisfied with looking into the distance. But even here I could hear the laughter and excited chatter of the children. I saw my bride laughing. And how Jojo took her beloved little sister in her arms.

"Yo, Uce! No peeking. Come on, unpack your stuff. I'll catch your kids so they can get ready too." Jimmy suddenly said as he stepped into the room behind me.

"It's not really peeking when she's so far away. I'm sorry if I miss her. Everything ready? No problems?" I replied as I reluctantly broke away from the sight.

"Everything is going according to plan. Don't worry. Even the weather gods are on your side. No rain in sight. Get ready." he said.

"Okay, we're done. What do you think?" Mom asked me as she held the mirror behind my head so I could see my finished hairstyle in the big mirror.

"It's perfect. Thanks, Mom." I replied, fighting the tears that were already welling up in my eyes.

And it really was. My hair was styled in a low, loose bun. Just as I had imagined. Maybe even better.
