Four years had passed since Akari and Renji had been born, and their presence had brought even more warmth and joy to the Ayanokōji household. Every weekend, Lori and Gojo would entrust the twins to Kiyotaka and Suzune, giving the young parents a well-deserved break and allowing the grandparents cherished time with their grandkids.

It was Saturday morning, and the house was already alive with laughter. Suz, now 12 years old, had her arms wrapped tightly around Kiyotaka's waist, glaring at Akari, who was sitting on Kiyotaka's lap with a victorious smirk.

"Grandpa is mine today!" Akari declared, crossing her arms stubbornly.

"No, he's mine!" Suz shot back, tugging at Kiyotaka's sleeve.

Kiyotaka, ever calm and patient, let out a small sigh. "Why don't you both share me? There's plenty of space," he suggested.

Akari looked skeptical. "Share? But I don't want to!"

Suz nodded in agreement. "Me neither!"

Still, when Kiyotaka opened his arms, both girls hesitated before finally climbing in. Suz tucked herself against one side of him, while Akari claimed the other.

"See? Isn't this better?" Kiyotaka said softly.

Akari rested her tiny head on his shoulder and let out a contented sigh. "I love grandpa cuddles."

Suz grinned and leaned her head against his other side. "Me too. But don't forget, I was here first."

"Enough arguing," Suzune's voice came from the doorway. She walked in, carrying a fluffy blanket draped over her shoulders. With a playful smile, she spread the blanket over Kiyotaka and the two girls before settling down on the sofa beside them.

"Move over," Suzune teased, nudging Suz gently. "I'm stealing him."

Suz gasped dramatically. "You can't! He's ours today!"

But before Suz could protest further, Kiyotaka slid his arm around Suzune and pulled her into the cuddle. Akari giggled. "Grandma cuddles are the best too," she said, snuggling closer.

Suzune laughed. "See? I'm part of the deal."

The room filled with warmth as the four of them sat together, sharing jokes and teasing each other.

"Grandpa, who do you love the most?" Akari suddenly asked, tilting her head to look at him with wide, curious eyes.

"Yeah, tell us!" Suz joined in eagerly.

Kiyotaka raised an eyebrow, his lips curling into a faint smile. "Do you really want to know?"

"Yes!" they both chorused.

Before Kiyotaka could answer, Suzune leaned in and kissed him softly on the lips. "It's me," she declared with a smirk. "I get all his special kisses."

Akari's eyes widened. "Special kisses? Can I have one too?"

"Me too!" Suz chimed in.

Kiyotaka shook his head. "Nope. Those are only for Grandma."

The girls groaned in disappointment, though their laughter quickly returned when Suzune tickled both of them, saying, "See? I told you he's all mine."

Dinner Time

Later that evening, Renji, Kiyo, Saya, and Tenshi returned home from their outing. Renji ran up to Akari, holding up a small book he had gotten at the bookstore. "Look what I got! Grandpa will read it to us tonight."

Akari clapped her hands. "Yay! Grandpa's stories are the best!"

In the dining room, Suzune had prepared a large meal with help from Saya and Tenshi. The table was filled with laughter and conversation as everyone enjoyed the delicious spread.

"I saw Gojo and Lori earlier," Tenshi mentioned casually. "They were glowing. I guess being parents suits them."

Suzune smiled warmly. "It really does. Lori's so good with the twins."

After dinner, the kids all began to yawn, their energy finally waning. When it was time for bed, Renji and Akari ran ahead to Kiyotaka and Suzune's room, diving onto the large bed and burrowing under the blankets.

"We're sleeping here tonight!" Akari declared.

Renji nodded in agreement. "Grandpa and Grandma's bed is the best."

Suzune tried to protest, but Kiyotaka gave her a knowing look. "Let them stay," he said simply, his tone soft.

A Quiet Moment in the Backyard

With the kids fast asleep, Kiyotaka and Suzune sat outside in the backyard, the night sky sparkling with stars. A gentle breeze rustled the trees, and Suzune leaned her head against Kiyotaka's shoulder, her fingers intertwined with his.

"This is my dream life," she murmured, her voice thick with emotion. "I never thought I'd have any of this. A husband, kids, grandkids... I thought it was all impossible for someone like me."

Kiyotaka turned his head slightly, his eyes searching hers. "Why would you think that?"

Suzune blinked, tears slipping down her cheeks. "Because of how I grew up. I never believed I'd find real happiness, let alone someone like you. And now... look at us. I'm so happy I could cry."

Kiyotaka didn't say anything at first. He simply pulled her into a hug, holding her close as she let her tears fall freely.

"I remember how happy you were when you found out you were pregnant," he said softly. "You were glowing, just like Lori. And seeing you like that... it made me realize how much I wanted this life with you."

Suzune sniffled, her tears slowing. "You're too good at saying the perfect thing, you know."

He chuckled quietly. "I'm just telling the truth."

For a while, they sat in silence, enjoying the peaceful night and the warmth of each other's presence. Finally, Suzune sighed contentedly.

"I love you so much, Kiyotaka."

He kissed her forehead gently. "I love you too, Suzune. Always."

With that, they returned to bed, slipping under the covers beside their grandchildren. Suzune rested her head on Kiyotaka's chest, her heart full as she drifted off to sleep.
