The house buzzed with the festive energy of Christmas Eve. The tree stood proudly in the corner of the living room, its branches adorned with shimmering lights and ornaments, while the scent of freshly baked cookies wafted from the kitchen.
Aiko, Saya, Gojo, and Lori sat on the couch, unusually quiet. Lori's eyes darted nervously around the room, while the others exchanged uneasy glances.
"Do you think they know?" Aiko whispered, her cheeks flushed crimson.
"No," Gojo replied in his usual calm tone, though he avoided making eye contact with anyone. "But we need to act normal. They can't suspect anything."
Saya hugged a pillow tightly to her chest, her face buried in it. "This is a disaster. Why did you even record it, Lori?"
"I didn't think it would be a big deal!" Lori hissed back, keeping her voice low. "I wasn't going to show anyone, but then... well... curiosity got the better of me."
Aiko groaned, covering her face with her hands. "Curiosity? Seriously? Now I can't even look at them without—ugh!"
The sound of Suzune's voice carried from the kitchen, snapping them out of their hushed conversation. "Kids, come help set the table for dinner!"
The four exchanged panicked looks.
"You're all acting weird," Gojo said flatly, though a faint blush betrayed his own discomfort.
"Weird? You're blushing!" Saya shot back, throwing a pillow at him.
Before they could argue further, Kiyotaka entered the room, carrying a tray of drinks. His usual calm demeanor sent a fresh wave of anxiety through the group.
"You're all quiet," he remarked, setting the tray down. "Is something wrong?"
"Nope! Nothing!" Lori blurted out, her voice a pitch higher than usual. She grabbed a glass and took a large gulp of juice, avoiding his gaze.
Kiyotaka's eyes narrowed slightly, but he said nothing, turning his attention back to Suzune, who was arranging the food on the table.
Awkward Moments and Flashbacks
Throughout dinner, the kids struggled to maintain their composure. Every innocent comment seemed to have a double meaning to them, triggering unwanted flashbacks to the video Lori had shown.
When Suzune sat and kiyotaka to pour Kiyotaka more wine and give him a kiss, Aiko nearly choked on her food. Lori jabbed her in the side, whispering, "Act normal!"
Aiko mind: How can i act normal she's siting on him and rubbing her ass into him like she was in the video like how the fuck lori i saw my dad using my mom's ass and throat like WTF and i know my mom liked it cuz she was making that sound it took me year's to stop thinking of it when i was a kid how the fuck am i going to stop.
Saya, meanwhile, focused intently on her plate, avoiding looking up at all costs. Gojo, ever stoic, kept his usual calm facade, though his grip on his fork tightened every time Suzune and Kiyotaka exchanged even the slightest affectionate glance.
"Are you sure you're all okay?" Suzune asked, her brow furrowing. "You've been unusually quiet tonight."
"We're fine!" the kids chorused in unison, their voices overlapping awkwardly.
Suzune and Kiyotaka exchanged a glance, but neither pressed further, returning to their meal.
The Christmas Tree Incident
Later that evening, as the family gathered around the tree to exchange gifts, Lori's guilt finally got the better of her. She tugged Aiko and Saya aside, whispering, "We have to confess. I can't take this anymore."
"Confess? Are you crazy?" Aiko hissed.
Saya shook her head vehemently. "There's no way I'm telling them. Let's just pretend it never happened."
Before Lori could argue further, Gojo joined them, his arms crossed. "If you confess, you'll only make things worse. Just let it go."
The conversation was cut short when Kiyotaka called them over to the tree. They exchanged nervous glances but complied, doing their best to act normal as gifts were handed out.
A (Mostly) Merry Ending
As the night wound down, the kids retreated to their rooms, grateful that the day had passed without incident. Lori, however, couldn't shake her guilt.
"I'm deleting the video," she announced, pulling out her phone.
"Finally," Aiko muttered, rolling her eyes.
"But what if they find out somehow?" Lori added, her fingers hovering over the delete button.
"They won't," Gojo said firmly. "As long as none of us say anything, this will stay between us."
With that, Lori hit delete, and the group let out a collective sigh of relief.
Meanwhile, Suzune and Kiyotaka sat by the fireplace, completely unaware of the chaos that had unfolded behind the scenes. Suzune leaned against him, a content smile on her face.
"Today felt a little... odd," she mused.
Kiyotaka tilted his head slightly, his expression as unreadable as ever. "Odd?"
"The kids were acting strange," Suzune elaborated. "Like they were hiding something."
Kiyotaka shrugged. "They're grown up. It's probably nothing."
Suzune nodded, letting the thought go as she snuggled closer to him. Outside, snow began to fall, blanketing the world in a peaceful silence.
