**Ziggy**
"When I grow up, I'm going to marry a boy!" The black haired eight year old announced to his parents at the park.
Other parents were giving his parents look of disgust as the boy stood there, his hazel blue eyes sparkling as he looked up at his parents. The two exchanged looks, before his mom knelt down first, smiling softly at him.
"Are you sure you want to marry a boy?" She questioned.
His dad knelt down next, placing his hand on his sons head but smiled at the other.
"You might change your mind when you get older, Ziggy." He told him.Ziggy was quick to shake his head.
"Nu uh! I promise I won't change my mind, girls are gross anyway." He smiled at them.
His parents exchanged looks a second time, before the two sighed in defeat, smiling at their son they both brought him into a gentle embrace."Well, whoever you decide to marry, they'll be a lucky person. Boy or girl." His mom said as Ziggy nodded.
"Will you love them as much as I will?" He asked, tilting his head as his mom blinked before looking to his dad who smiled softly.
"You bet we will." He told the other with promise in his voice.**Two years later**
Ziggy stood in the cemetery, he stared blankly at his parents names on the two gravestones.
Looking up at the gray sky.
He couldn't help but wonder.
Was this a punishment?
Or, were his parents just in the wrong place at the wrong time during that animal attack?"Let's go, Ziggy." His uncle's tone was harsh, he knew his aunt and uncle didn't want to take him in.
Who wanted a gay kid under their roof?
Or in their definition, who wanted a confused kid under their roof?
Even his cousins didn't like him.
Well.
Alex and Sky tried too, but it didn't help when Bryce pulled them away each time they wanted to play.
..
Yeah, this felt like a punishment.
And Ziggy wanted nothing more than to escape it.**Present time.**Six Years Later.**
From the moment I moved into my uncles house, I was known as the weird kid.
No matter how hard I tried to fit in, I was shooed and dismissed.
Even at dinner, no one cared to talk to me, and when Alex or Sky tried to.
My uncle or Bryce would tell them to stop talking.
Aunt Shay wasn't as cruel, but she still chose her family over me each time.So when I needed to get away.
I went to the one place they never visited.
The cemetery.I leaned against my dads stone as the wind blew, it was a cooler October morning and I wanted more than anything, to skip school.
Nothing good came from it.
Well, one thing did.Lexi Torres.
A girl who confessed she had the biggest crush on me, and to maybe make my guardians happy.
I agreed to date her.
Except, it feels anything but dating.
We never kiss, hold hands or the more explicit stuff.
It confused me A LOT.
But anytime I questioned her?"I'm saving myself for after marriage, you can respect that, right?"
Is what she'd ask me.
I figured hand holding or kissing would be okay, but according to her, it was also a part of her saving herself."I'm so confused." My brows were knitted sitting there.
"I thought I'd find you here." I blinked looking up, just to find the one I was thinking about.
Lexi stood there, her arms crossed as her brown eyes studied me.
"Are you trying to depress me?" She teased as I stood to my feet, frowning as I looked to the two stones.
"Sorry, I was just visiting before class." I replied.
Lexi arched a brow before smiling as she placed her hands on my shoulders.
