**Ziggy**
The room was dark, I could hear movement around me before feeling the bed beginning to dip down.
"Who's there?" I asked but my breath hitched.
I couldn't see them.
But there was another person right in front of me.
"Relax." Their voice was almost a whisper as they laid me back.
I was scared.
"I can't see you." I commented.
"Do you need to?" The voice questioned.
"Yes." I answered and there was a soft chuckle in response.
"Not yet." They replied before their lips were on my neck.
I sat up fast, drenched in sweat as I looked around my room.
There was no one else in here except for me.
My heart was racing like crazy as I ran a hand through my hair.
It was still dark outside.
Inhaling slowly, I looked at the time.
Six am.
Sighing softly, I got out of bed and headed straight to the bathroom for a shower that I now needed.
I stood underneath the water with my eyes closed.
That was such a weird dream.
And I couldn't place where I knew that voice from.
I wasn't even sure if I knew that voice.
But at the same time.
It sounded so nice.
And safe.
------
I sat at the kitchen table while my cousins each ate their breakfast.
I wasn't hungry.
Especially when my uncle was in the room.
The feeling was beginning to make me feel sick.
Alex glanced to me eating his cereal, it felt like there was something he wanted to say, but because both Bryce and my uncle were in the room.
He decided against it.
"Are you not eating breakfast?" My aunts voice rang in the room, but her question was aimed at me which caused everyone else to pause what they were doing, and looked right at me.
"No." I answered short, staring at the table.
My aunt frowned softly.
"Ziggy-"
"He said he's not hungry, let him starve. The less he eats, the more groceries we have." My uncle spoke up with cruelty in his voice.
It made my brows knit.
"Tony, surely you're joking-"
"I'm not going to pity an attention seeking brat, he only acts this way because he wants attention. It's pathetic as the male gender to act that way, eat, don't eat. I don't care, but if you're too good to eat. You can head to school now." My uncle told me.
"Okay." I responded without arguing, I stood from the table and went to grab my things.
--------
The ride to school was quiet as I sat in the passenger seat, my eyes were on the other cars the whole time.
At times, I could feel my aunts eyes on me but I wasn't sure what she wanted to say.
Just like I wouldn't know how to respond.
She married a very cruel man, and she just dealt with it.
"That boy from yesterday seemed nice, did you make any other friends besides him?" I heard my aunt question.
I blinked before looking over at her.
"Oh, yeah. I made four other friends, they actually want me to go with them to the lake this weekend." I told her.
My aunt's eyes seemed to light up over that.
"That's great, and you should. Getting away from the house and being with new friends would actually be good for you." She told me.
I nodded in agreement.
"Aunt Shay, can I ask you a question?" I looked at her as my aunt nodded behind the wheel, her eyes back on the road.
Sucking in some air, I rubbed the side of my neck.
"If... If I were to find another family member who would let me, is it possible for me to live with them instead?" I asked.
My aunt was quiet and the silence was loud.
"That is a very ungrateful question, Ziggy, I understand being sore with how your uncle and cousin treat you. But you still have a roof over your head-"
"I know but-"
"And you get to come home to a hot meal after school, I just don't understand how you could ask such a selfish thing?" She pulled the car into the parking lot and put the car in park, sitting there.
"Do you hate us that much?" She asked me.
My brows knitted.
"N-No, I just.. I don't know what I was thinking, I'm sorry." I said pushing open the door to get out.
"Right, just like I don't know what I'm thinking by wasting my gas and bringing you to this school. I think that's going to stop for a while until you can change this new bratty attitude." My aunt told me, there was anger but also hurt in her voice.
"I'll have Bryce pick you up." She told me before speeding off as I stood there.
My blood ice cold but I also felt numb.
Why did I ask that so suddenly and not think she would react negatively?
It made me feel sick.
Because I knew it wasn't her wrath I would be dealing with for the next few days, but my uncles.
I frowned deeply feeling my phone buzz but a knot only appeared.
It was a text, from Zeke.
[Zeke]: Heard you didn't get to go to prison, that's a shame. You definitely would have fit in there.
My brows furrowed at the message.
I knew if I responded, it would only bait him into saying even more mean stuff, and I really didn't need that right now.
But in seconds, my phone was ringing and Lexi's name was highlighted.
Sighing softly, I answered.
"Hey, now isn't a good ti-"
{"Typical of you to answer Lexi over me."} His voice was practically booming on the other side with amusement.
My brows knitted.
"Why do you have my girlfriend's phone, Zeke?"
{"I really don't know where you're getting the balls to catch the attitude with me, but you should really consider getting them cut back off. Where do you get off ignoring my messages?"} He asked me.
I stood there with furrowed brows, but my eyes caught sight of Kaiser getting out of his truck with two unfamiliar faces, they were talking about something before Kaiser's eyes met mine.
{"ANSWER ME WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU!"} Zeke barked on the other end, it was so loud it startled me as I dropped my phone and stumbled back from it.
"Yikes." I looked over to an unfamiliar face.
He was in a dark maroon shirt with brown hair and light brown eyes.
Kneeling down, he lifted up my phone to see that Zeke was still on the other end.
{"You really know how to piss me off, do you think just because you go to another school, we can't find you?"}
The brunet made a face before bringing the phone to his ear.
"Who the fuck is this?" He questioned into my phone as my eyes grew wide.
{"Who is the fuck is this? Who the fuck are YOU? Where is that bitch, Ziggy at?"} Zeke demanded.
The brunet blinked looking at me.
He quickly mouthed, are you Ziggy?
My face was flushed red but I nodded rubbing the side of my neck.
The brunet frowned.
"Don't worry about where he is, what you should worry about is who you're talking to right now." The brunet told him.
{"Oh, is that a fact?"}
The brunet looked to me then towards Kaiser's group.
"It's a fact." The brunet answered.
{"I guess it's true what they say, faggots who-"} Before Zeke could even get that sentence out, the brunet was hanging up and handing me my phone.
"Quite the friend you have." The brunet told me.
It was hard to swallow, but I shook my head.
"He isn't a friend." I replied.
The brunet watched me before nodding.
"Good answer, I'm Kyrie Tanner by the way, sorry for just taking over that conversation. You just seemed like you were unable." He said.
My face was hot.
"It's okay.. I was just taken by surprise when he yelled at me-"
"If I were you, I would block his number." Kyrie suggested.
I frowned softly before nodding.
"Good morning, Ziggy."
The sudden numbness I was feeling, disappeared when I heard Kaiser's voice.
I turned to greet him, but he wasn't alone.
Those two guys were also with him.
And for some reason.
They scared me.
They were both equally tall and built.
The first one had messy blond hair and dark green eyes, he wore a solid black shirt and blue jeans.
And the other one who was maybe an inch taller had black hair and baby blue eyes, he was in a blood red shirt with black jeans.
"G-Good morning, Kaiser." I greeted the blond who seemed confused by my tone.
Kyrie looked to me then to the trio.
"You three usually head straight in, this is a first." Kyrie spoke up now.
"Well, we would have, but Kaiser wanted to come say hello to the chihuahua next to you." The blond spoke up with a smirk.
I blushed hard looking away now.
Kaiser looked to him.
"That's enough, Stetson, I didn't tell you or Dorian to follow me over here. If you want to bully someone, go look for Rocky." He told him.
I looked up fast.
"Bully?" I asked before flinching when the one known as Stetson stepped forward.
"Do you have a problem with that, new kid?" He asked me.
It was hard to breathe.
"Stetson, I said that's enough, he's already upset." Kaiser frowned stepping between us now.
Stetson stared before smirking softly.
"No shit, he looks like he's going to piss himself." He commented.
Kyrie rolled his eyes.
"You heard the boss man, let's leave them and head inside." Kyrie told the duo.
Stetson let out a heavy sigh.
"Fine fine." He followed the two before looking back at me and Kaiser, he gave off an amused grin before walking ahead.
Kaiser frowned before his eyes fell back on me.
"I apologize about Stetson, he has a temper on him. Are you okay? You look pale." Kaiser pointed out as I blinked before frowning softly.
"I'm used to people having tempers around me, so it's okay-"
"It's not okay." Kaiser corrected with a frown.
"You shouldn't let others talk to you how they want, just like you shouldn't let them treat you how they want." He told me.
I frowned softly but nodded.
"It's already been a bad morning, I'll have to apologize to your friend later for letting him get involved." I said.
Kaiser blinked before smiling softly.
"Kyrie tends to do that, a little too often actually, I wouldn't worry about him. He did it because he wanted to." He told me as we walked towards the school now.
---------
Walking into homeroom for the second time, I couldn't help but feel my chest squeeze tight seeing my uncle at his desk.
He was looking over some papers as I frowned softly but approached the other.
"Good morning, uncle-- I mean, Mr.Mitchell." I greeted the other.
My uncle looked up from the papers and smiled warmly at me.
"Good morning, Ziggy, are you feeling alright this morning? You look pale." He frowned at me.
I forced a smile.
"I'm fine, I just skipped breakfast." I told him.
My uncle frowned at that.
"Breakfast is very important, you should take better care of your health." He was hesitant before looking at me.
"How is life at home?" He asked.
Horrible, at times I want to go to sleep and hope I don't wake up.
Is what I wanted to tell him.
"Life is okay." I answered.
He didn't seem convinced, and I didn't want him to be.
I wanted him to catch the hint that I was miserable.
That my aunt and uncle hate me.
That my own cousin hates me.
My uncle frowned.
"I see, well, class is fixing to start soon. Why don't you go have a seat at your desk?" He told me.
I just nodded, turning from him and there were blue eyes locked right on me.
"Good morning, Ziggy, I see you still have the special treatment." I think his name was Quin, he smiled icily at me as I frowned at him.
"Good morning." I said before walking past the other.
My eyes were on Kaiser the whole time, and his eyes were already locked on me.
----------
"You lied earlier." I heard Kaiser comment as we sat in the back during study time.
I looked to him confused.
"I lied..?" I questioned.
Kaiser glanced to me.
"About your life at home, I know it's none of my business, but being honest is healthy. I know your uncle doesn't want to show special treatment, and it's obvious that's not what you want either, but I'm sure he'll help if you ask." He told me.
"You make it sound so easy." I smiled softly at him.
"But asking for help..." I looked at my uncle who was going over tomorrow's lesson plan.
"Well, that might just be the death of me."

Hey guys! I just wanted to let everyone know THIS STORY WILL GET HAPPIER I PROMISE :'D.
Right now, it's focusing on the reality that not everyone is okay with LGBTQ or having a confused teenager under their roof.
This story focuses more on that slightly in the beginning, I'm sorry if it seems a little too serious right now.
I plan on making it more exciting in a few chapters to make up for the evil uncle.
There will also be NSFW themes in the next chapter to hint after the secret inside of Autumn Lake, involving one of Ziggy's new friends and a certain bad boy. ;3
Only because there needs to be fluff and cuteness.
That's why I created Kaiser to be this big softie even though he's supposed to seem like a huge jerk.
I just wanted to explain so in case anyone decides, "hey this is pretty serious and not like the authors other stories that are actually more fun, I'm going to bounce." :'D
Because truthfully, there will be serious themes, even mentions of suicide and drugs.
WHICH I WILL POST UNDER TRIGGER in case anyone needs that.
Okay.
I'll stop yapping.
Until the next one!
